My mom broke a bone in her hand and has been seeing the most amazing Occupational Therapist. We want to get her a thank you gift of some sort, but I’m running blank. Any ideas on a thank you gift? Not sure how much my mom wants to spend – but I’m thinking something in the $20ish range.

I’m an OT to be 🙂 From what I have been told, they can’t accept “gifts” However, therapists LOVE food!! Bring a tray of sandwiches one day for the office and you will be a hit!! Or if you notice she loves a certain drink, bring her a can of Dr. Pepper or something with the lunch!! Sweet cards are always my favorite! Also, follow up visits from old patients… so have your mom stop by sometime after she is done with therapy!

I’m a PT and our office LOOOOVES food! Any sweets or munchies are always greatly appreciated! We are allowed to accept material gifts as long as they are under $10. Some other small things I have gotten are lotion or nice hand sanitizer from bath and body works. That kind of thing is nice since we have to wash our hands so much. But, like a couple of other people have said, you can never go wrong with treats!
ps a nice thank you note is also ALWAYS appreciated! andn it lasts longer than snacks! 😉

I was thinking about baking her something, but she doesn’t strike me as a sweets type person. I went to the appointments with my mom in the beginning but not so much after. My mom did not pick up on anything she liked. I never saw her drinking anything etiher (like coffee, etc.). She’s probably in her late 50’s and super fit – which makes me think she doesn’t indulge in ‘treats’.
Thanks for the ideas so far! Keep them coming!
