These are the two I came across in my venue search. I am not sure about being let in to take photos, but if you want the outdoor photos, they're both public parks!
Hoosier Grove Barn in Streamwood, IL.
Wagner Farm in Glenview, IL. I know this link is to their rentals page, but I think that if you just go when there's not an event happening, it's just a regular park. (I'd still call them and check.)
Hoosier Grove is soo cute! I think it may be a little far though. I'm thinking about looking around Long Grove now...
I'm getting married at the Byron Colby Barn, which was a dairy barn that is now used as a wedding venue. It's adorable and red, but maybe not as rustic as you want.
