We just got our engagement photos back from our photographer. We are so excited about how well they turned out and want to put some up on our wedding website and email to family/friends who wanted to see them. The problem is, the files are HUGE. Like each photo is 4-7MB. Is there any quick way to shrink the file size so these become uploadable and sendable?

Thanks and sorry for my cluelessness!

I used to use this - you just have to sign up (free) and you can manage all your photos there.

I use BatchPhoto to do quick edits. You can try it for free for a couple of photos, and then there is a one time fee. You can size quite a few photos at a time with this program. I have sized up to 25, I think, so far. I know it is a lot, but I can't remember the amount. The program is located at http://www.batchphoto.com/

I found this by googling, so I can't vouch for it but it seems legit:

Or if you have a Mac, you can shrink pictures by exporting them from iPhoto. Not sure how to do it on a PC though.

If you have a PC, use the Microsoft Office Picture Manager (You can access this program from the start menu, all programs, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Office tools). You can pull up your picture directory and it'll pull up pictures. You can click "compress Picture", and you can chose how much you want to compress it (for a document, email, etc). These pictures would obviously be more for sharing, not for printing.
