I recieved this dress yesterday, as a part of the Brides Across America program. At the salon I loved it, but now I am a little unsure. I think it’s a little too plain for me. Any ideas to bring some life to it? At this point, I’d seriously considering donating it back to the salon.

I like the IDEA of a blingy sash- I just don’t like the one you picked out (too thin, and not quite BLING but more beaded/ pearly)

@vmec: That was definitely not the sash of my choice. The consultant that I was working with put it on me. I was thinking something blingy as well.

Maybe a sash like the one the model is wearing?

What? Nooooo! It is a beautiful dress, and GORGEOUS on you! I love it!!!
I feel like a blingy sash would actually take away from the perfect waist definition there. I think some pretty oversized rhinestone earrings and a blingy cuff bracelet would be perfect with this. Your shoes and hair comb could also add sparkle. But MAN, this dress is amazing – one of my favorites I’ve seen (and I’ve seen a lot!)
Of course, it is all about how you feel in it, but try accessorizing it before you give up on this beauty. Accessories can make all the difference!

I’m not sure if I would want a sash to be similar to the one in the model photo (highlighting the back of the dress), or one to show bring life to the front of the dress.

You don’t need the blingy sash, IMO, you MAKE that dress. I like the one in the original picture and how it is worn. Wow, you look amazing in that dress.

I love it! I think it looks fantastic on you! I really like the black sash in the picture.

Yeah this is STUNNING on you. I would say go for a huge statement bracelet and amazing earrings, and maybe blingy shoes. You could add a blingy belt if you like it but definitely don’t donate it back!

OMG you look INCREDIBLE in that dress! No dress regret, no dress regret! 😀 I agree that the blingy sash you have on in the photo is too thin. I’m in love with the sash on the model!

How did you look in the end?
