I'm going to ask for the pictures on a CD so that I can have them printed into an album through Costco.com. Not only is it going to be cheaper, but it will be just as nice as the $1000 photo albums.
I am having an all-out Costco wedding and having my album printed there. It'll be so much cheaper than getting one through the photographer that will cost close to $1000 to bind and put together.
One of my friends is a photographer and she uses and recommends www.mpix.com. She uses them for all of her work for her clients. My Uncle is also really big into photography and uses them as well.
You could also use www.mypublisher.com I've used them before for other photobooks. I think they're good for vacation book photos. I'm not sure if I would use them for my wedding album though, I personally would like a better quality. They are a little cheaper than mpix and also usually has a lot of coupons like buy 1 get one free if you're looking for that.
Also you might ask your photographer for recommendations. I'm doing the same thing and my photographer said they would recommend online sites to go to.

We used blurb to make two smaller photobooks for our parents and LOVED the quality. We're planning on using them for our larger, coffee table style book for ourselves. I liked it much better than costco/my publisher, which I used for our engagement photos. I thought the quality of blurb was better.

I didn't order the album package from my Photographer so now I am looking for any recommendation for photobooks or albums for my photos.
