Ok ladies, not sure if there is anyone in that area, but we will be having to switch OBs at 36 weeks and I am a little nervous about choosing one. I think I have done enough research to feel comfortable delivering at Florida Hospital versus Winnie Palmer in Orlando, but have no clue or recommendations on a doctor or practice.
Does anyone know of someone or have anyone close by they can recommend? Even a website that would review them (I have looked on http://www.Healthgrades.com and I think one more but can’t remember the name but have not a lot of luck.) would be extremely helpful. Thanks to everyone for any input in advance – this is such a tough choice since we will basically not have time to get to know the doctor(s) really well!!!

I work at Florida Hosital Altamonte and do ultrasounds. Go to Dr. Jon Sweet. I hear he is great =) Good Luck!

I second the Dr. Jon Sweet recommendation, he is amazing. Granded I have only seen him for GYN reasons, but I adore him. Very personable, very friendly and is extremely throughout in his explainations. All of his exam rooms are covered with photos, birth announcements and christmas cards from all the babies hes delivered.

Thanks ladies! I have read good reviews about Dr. Sweet so taht makes me feel better. But my current OB just confused me because she said she wouldn’t be afraid of giving birth in the smaller hospitals in the area (Leesburg Regional MC, etc) with a low-risk pregnancy. So now I am of course second guessing the decision to give birth at those hospitals versus the others. But I will give Dr. Sweet’s office a call!

I don’t know if you are still looking, but I definitely recommend my OB/GYN, Dr. Fernando Lopez, of OB/GYN Specialists of Central Florida. He’s been my doctor since I came here for college, and he’s been my doctor through both of my births with my boys.
