Hi UK brides,
Have any of you bought your wedding dress from BHS? I have my eye on one that I saw online that I really like (only £80!!!). Have any of you bought one from there? How was the quality?
I saw some I thought I liked on the Monsoon website but then when I went and tried them on I HATED them! I couldn’t believe how different they look in real life than on the internet! I am trying to find a decent dress at a very reasonable price, for a destination wedding, so nothing too fancy, and I don’t want to make an appointment at one of those places where you have to pay just to try stuff on.
So any nice, good quality, affordable high street recommendations would be fabulous! thanks x

Debenhams have some very nice looking dresses. I haven’t tried any on but they look promising on the hangers…

I looked in debenhams at a couple and the ones I saw really didn’t feel very nice fabric – wise. but i wasn’t looking at very expensive ones!

Have you looked at Phase Eight? They have some really nice ones. Coast do as well but they arm’t quite traditional enough for me. Very.co.uk also has some, but you have to order them and try and home, no stores!
That’s interesting you didn’t like the Monsoon ones in real life londongal- the photos look lovely on their website. The only thing I wondered was whether they would come up quite short….
I’m also looking for high street bridal (well, anything under £400, don’t care where it comes from!) so I’d also be interested in some recommendations!

I bought from debenhams for my london civil before i go away for my wedding for which i have had a dress made. Some days I feel nicer in the Debenhams one, really pleased with it and great price – plus they have a sale on at moment!

I saw an absolutely beautiful dress in BHS recently. I definitely wouldn’t discount buying one from the high street.
