Our venue has the option to bring our own alcohol that we will be using for the bar.  I was wondering if anyone out there knows of any good places in LA to buy large amounts of liquor, alcohol and wine?  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would assume there is a Costco somewhere in LA, right? Because that place is the best as far as cheap alcohol--the Kirkland Sig brand vodka is made by Grey Goose and is only $30 for a giant bottle! :)

Yes, there is a Costco, which we're definitely going to, thanks for the info about the Kirkland Vodka.  I didn't know Grey Goose made it.

There is also BevMo (which has good deals from time to time) and Beverage Warehouse in the marina.

Good tip on the kirkland/grey goose.

You can get wine at Cost Plus or a lot of grocery stores to 10-20% off when you buy a case (or multiple cases)

I *think* that at BevMo you can return alcohol. Different stores have different policies, but it's nice to be able to return any unused bottles!

I don't know about LA specifically, but I know that in Idaho some of the liquor stores are run by the state and it's waay cheaper. They're just called Liquor Store.

Thanks for the input.  I didn't know you can return unused bottles, we definitely would like that, because more than likely we will buy more than needed just in case.

Total wine is a pretty cheap place.  They are a warehouse store so you get warehouse prices.  I am buying mine there, it is much cheeper than Costo or Sams Club.  Good luck!!!

Try Mission Liquor in Pasadena.  I bought all of my hard liquor there and wine at BevMo during their Buy one Get one 5cents sale.

If you have one nearby- try Trader Joe's! Our favorite wine is only $3.99 a bottle there! that's a good price if you're going to be buying by the case!

Bevmo is the best. They have a huge variety and you can returned unused bottles.

If you want champagne try J.Andre's about 2.99 and really tasty. They also offer non alcaholic wine and champagne. Best of luck to you and happy planning

Please feel free to email me if you need any help.

We bought our wine at the San Antonio Winery in La.  We bought our alcohol at Costco, BEVMO, and Smart and Final.
