I just joined this community yesterday and have yet to do an Intro, but looking through recent posts I found this.  We MIGHT be a Sept. '11 couple, too!  We're tossing around August and September.  We live in FL so weather is a huge deciding factor.  Then again, Florida weather is so unpredictable!

Ditto on the colors question above...has anyone settled?

I know what you mean, CorgiTales, with it being so far off there's always a chance it could change even though we really want to do it on our anniversary of starting to date and anniversary of getting engaged, which is the 5th.

I am also September 24, 2011!  janicegiraldo - we're date twins!  We just booked the venue for our date this past week!  Soooo exiting!!

I am debating on the color scheme...  I want to go with eggplant and crimson, with gold as an accent color, but since it will be vermont in the fall I am worried that the eggplant won't go with the orange, etc, of the trees.

ScarletJwl  I was also thinking Eggplant but with a green and brown or gold accents.  Not sure though, I've never been a big fan of purple, but my fiance loves it and I've seen some beautiful inspiration boards with this color scheme.  We've also booked our wedding venue, our ceremony and reception will be at the same place, an awesome barn!  Attempting to go with a rustic theme.  When are you planning on dress shopping?  Bridesmaid dress shopping etc?  I'm not sure of a time line.

I'm a Sept 24th 2011 bride, well, we're pretty sure thats the date, not 100% decided yet, but it'l probably be then!

I really wanted to do it on our dating half-anniversary cos i wanted a autumn/winter wedding and our dating anniversary is in may! but our dating half anniversary next year falls on a tuesday, so we've gone for the 24th which is the right date, but in September instead of the November.

As to colours, *I* have decided what colours i'd like, and FI is on board with them, Deep Royal Purple and Rich Peacock Blue. And i want to incorporate Peacock feathers into my flowers and things like that, because my dad breeds peacocks, so i have a handy supply of feathers!

sat last night and came up with a proper inspiration board with things i actually intend to use instead of the one i did when we got engaged which just used stock images from dessy, so here it is!!!any september 2011 brides out there? : wedding Wedding Inspiration Board2

I am September 24 2011!!! We do have colors already - Gold, Chocolate Brown and Cream. We are doing a TON of candles and trying to do a very understated elegance. We are trying to create a wedding that keeps with our vision of Southern elegance and grace. Nothing will be overly trendy but a simple classic look. We decided that our biggest priority for the reception was to make our guest feel at home and were having a great time. I already have my dress and I am working on finding the BM dresses (9! Bridesmaids - eek!). We have our location for the reception (my parents home) and we will be doing the ceremony in the church I grew up in. It is going to be a huge wedding by anyones standards we are doing the guest list now and we are already past 300 couples and the list keeps growing!

Since I am doing the invites and the majority of the paper related things I have already started on it because at this rate (5-6 invites per week) it may take me a year to make enough.

Sept 17th, 2011 here! We've already booked our wedding/reception spot http://www.pointbreezeonwebsterlake.com/  We're doing our best to save save save so we don't have to put ANY of the cost on a credit card. We're planning to have a black & white wedding with orange highlights & black & white damask. I'm so back & forth on what I want the wedding to look like & my fiance is so go with the flow relaxed. It's tough haha.

i may or not be a september bride. i'm currently waiting - and the original plan was to do it in december 2011, but then he was like, "why are we waiting until december? it's nicer out in september".

so we'll see when i get a real ring, but it'd be either the 3rd, or the 10th. i'm voting for the 3rd!

I'm a September 24, '11 bride. We are doing Black and White too, but with a red accent. I think it will look really pretty with Michigan Fall colors! We booked our church and venue last month and the DJ and Photographer this month... so we got the big stuff out of the way. Oh and I found my dress back in January. Other than that its all ideas right now!

We're getting married September 3, 2011. We plan on making it a weekend event because we both have family who have never been to NYC so we thought it would be a great time to see the sights as well :)

9.4.2011, which is a sunday...but it is the anniversary of our wedding in san francisco.  i am making an effort to get almost everything second-hand, and our budget is less than 10,000 so i am glad to have some extra time to scour out deals!

I'm also getting married on September 24, 2011!!

We are getting married at the Southport Community Building in Southport, NC. I really wanted it on the beach but when we saw this location I knew it was the spot.. plus we can have our reception there as well, win, win!  The wedding will be held behind the building on the dock which overlooks the Cape River.. I'm so excited!

I had originally decided on Navy blue dress and Khaki suits with accents of green and orange BUT the hubby to be said he changed his mind and wants to wear black.. Gah! glad he figured that out now.  So this morning I hunted down colors and I believe these are what we are going with.

Anyway, happy wedding planning to y'all!

Also a September 24, 2011 bride!!! I'm getting married on Cape Cod at a yacht club so I wanted to go for somewhat of a nautical theme.  We're doing Navy and White with hints of light pink in the flowers.  Can't wait to see it all put together :)

I'm a 9-10-11 Iowa bride! Everyone keeps telling me how nice September weddings are so I'm very excited.  We have our church and reception hall booked and are just looking in to prices on everything right now.  I feel like it's too early to book things, as I might find something else in the future that I like better!  I really want engagement pictures taken this October though, so I have to get on the ball with booking our photographer!!

i think i'm the only fall bride not using fall colors! we're getting married 9/17 in baltimore and the leaves won't be even close to changing then anyways. actually i guess technically fall doesn't start until a few days after our wedding, so that'll be my excuse why there's not a sinlge brown, orange, burgundy, or gold item at our wedding!

@pb and j:  We don't have fall colors either.  Mostly because I'm too lazy / bad with design & style to have colors in the first place.

Has anyone started to feel like it's really time to start doing stuff now that we're less than a year out?  I'm getting there, but I also can't really be bothered to do those things, like gathering addresses and figuring out bridesmaid dresses.  We did have our engagement pictures taken Sunday which was huge!  I am so nervous/excited waiting for our photographer to put up a preview...

@Entangled: I feel you. ALL I've done so far is put a deposit on the reception & ceremony site as well as meet with the caterer. Although I doubt I would have met with a caterer yet if it weren't for the fact that the caterer is FI's godmother!

Good for you for getting e-pics done. I really want to do that, but don't know where to start. Also, I feel like I need to focus on STDs since the wedding is a semi-desitination wedding and I've hit a complete mental block with the website. Only putting one up so people can get info about the area, where to stay, etc... but I don't even know what to put on the "homepage".
