I’m a street size 0/00, but my Casablanca will be a 4 altered down to a 2 everywhere but my boobs. Different brands have different sizes.

Maggie Sotterro and Casablanca are pretty popular on the Bee! If you can find a store that sells those, I’d start there. They have a lot of different styles. Allure and Mori Lee would be my next two.

Street size 00 went with a size 4 Essence of Australia gown because my mom made me get it big “just in case” I gain weight.  I’ve been the same size for like the past 10 years – pretty sure there’s no “just in case” to worry about except in her dreams!

Good luck dress shopping, it sucks when the sample sizes are so big, because you can’t get a real feel for how some of them actually fall on your body.

I’m a street size 00, however, I got a size 2 for my wedding dress as it was the smallest they had in the store.  I will be altering it down as I’m the size of a swizzle stick.  Agreed that different brands have different sizes.  I went with Allure.

Mine’s an A-line. Though literally everything looked good, so it was interesting to try and pick. I love my dress, though.

@Natto:  “Swizzle stick” That made me smile. You’re cute! My sis was a size 0 and she got a size 4 gown and had it altered.

My Maggie Sottero is a size 2 (I’m usually a size 00 in jeans). There is a little boobage  because I’m busty, but I need it let out in the hips a little since it’s a mermaid and can’t exactly sit in it..lol. I know shopping for smaller sizes sucks, but they’re there! I went to one off the rack place and they had ONE size 2 dress. 🙁

Not me (HA!!) but my sister is a size 0 and barely that, she had a size 0 from DB that fit perfectly, no alterations needed, but she is a perfect hour glass model skinny kind of person. It was a fit and flare all lace with a sweetheat neck and she looked gorgeous because the fitted dress really showed off how teenie she is. Even if you have no desire to buy from them Davids Bridal is a decent place to look because unlike most salons they have lots of styles in the actual size you need, not trying to tuck and pin a dress 4 sizes to big so you can get a better idea how an actual style will look on you in the right size.

i wear a size 0 in street clothes, but my dress measurements were bigger. my bust was in the 2 range but my waist was in the 4 range…so i had to order the size 4…my dress is an allure 8815 and it has a lace up back and a drop waist with tiered layers…it will fit perfectly even with my tiny physique

I”m a size 0, I got my dress, but haven’t done alterations yet. I tried on my 0 when I got it and it’s still big. I’m going to be scared to see the cost of alterations 🙁

I’m a 0, but i’m really curvy. I’m the same weight as you at 5’5. Really slim fitting dresses look great, and mermaids/ fit and flares bring out curves nicely! Ballgowns were stunning but they really overwhelmed me.
