thank you soooo much 3BeesPaperie! I just clicked over but this is great, tons of pictures.
Not sure if this is against WB rules, but The Knot's South Asian message board is really active and there are a ton of girls on there in intercultural relationships.
@Sari-Clad Bride did you guys just start up? Thats awesome!
@phruphru -- I have checked out the knot boards before, but I don't exactly have a specific question, I just like to learn what I can, which is why I was looking for blogs/blog type sites. I will keep that in mind as a resource though, thanks!
@mechie, another good planning resource is the South Asian bio, which is put together by a woman who is active on the Knot's South Asian message board: http://krishnaswami08.googlepages.com/southasianbio
Tons of info on there and lots of photos for inspiration! And nope, I do not work for the Knot :)
In addition to maharaniweddings.com, there's another new blog called marigoldsandmithai.blogspot.com. LOVE them both!
@Desi Bride: Someone else on the boards introduced me to marigolds and mithai.. I loooooove them! I see that the Sari-Clad bride link was deleted, they had been promoting themselves on the boards... but still worth a read!

Hey girls!
So, I've lurked for a few months around the waiting boards, but my boy and I just recently got engaged. We're planning to have a big fat Hindu wedding in Malaysia (where 99% of his family still lives) and then a party/reception back here in the DC area (where we live). I love reading the bee's adventures, and follow a few other wedding blogs, but I'm having trouble finding bloggers talking about Hindu weddings... I am not familiar with most of the traditions and expectations, etc, and would just love to learn more (without having to bother my FMIL with a thousand questions). Do any of you keep up a blog, or have any suggestions for good reads? Thanks!! :)
