I have been contemplating opening an Etsy shop for my Jewelry/Tiara business. I know little about Etsy and want to know if anyone has had success/failure with it? What are some tips and tricks for getting off the ground?
Usually Jewelry is a pretty saturated market…any ideas on how to stand out?
Any tips or ideas would be greatly appreciated and thank you in advance!

Can you show some pics of your jewellery? I am not a seller but a buyer and my advice would be to keep the price reasonable! Also good pics.

I don’t want to post pics in case I violate the self promotion policy. Thanks for the tips about photography!
I just didn’t know if alot of people do well on Etsy or its just a select few.

I did to well for my own good! I couldn’t keep up with the business and had to close shop. I really want to re-open but I am finishing my PhD and just don’t see it happening!
If you fill a unique gap on etsy that is something brides will like you will definitely be successful. I got to successful when my images got on pinterest. So pinterest is a great marketing tool!
I wish you all the best of luck!

@FMM: Could I ask what you did? My niche would be wedding jewelry, tiaras and fascinators which seem fairly commonplace. However, my prices would be alot better then the average salon and perhaps more appealing?
