For ages, before I ever got engaged, I had this image in my head of a wedding dress with floral embroidery (ideally colored or with a 3d effect) going down the length of the dress.  It might even continue up into a strap, as a one-shoulder dress...  But it should also show some cleavage, rather than be a strapless with a flat neckline!

Here are some examples of discontinued dresses that have something close to the floral embroidery I'm talking about:

    Sophia Tolli Fleur

    Maggie Sottero Alannah

But first of all, both of these dresses have been discontinued, and second of all, I don't think they'd be flattering for my body type.  I'd love a dress that's NOT strapless - either a halter or one-shoulder dress would be great, or else straps that show some cleavage.

I know it's a weird request!  Does anyone with their wedding dress expertise have any suggestions that might fit this?

Oooh, thanks ladies!  The Watters Dallas has a neckline that I really like, and that's a gorgeous dress overall.  And the Style CKP421 at David's Bridal, too.

But the specific idea I'm looking for is something like one vine going down the length of the dress, rather than just embroidery all over (though that's pretty too!  And probably what I'll end up going with in the end if I can't find this...)

Here's an example of a dress with a shape/neckline that I think would look great on me:

Ladybird from Netherlands is well known for that type of dresses.

This forum is awesome.  Thanks for all the additional suggestions!!  The Ladybird dresses are very cool (I went to their website and think I gasped audibly when I saw the gorgeous flower vines on this dress:)

That Enzoani Gali is GOOOOORGEOUS and I want to see someone else in it!  I love those flowers! Unfortunately I'm pretty sure it would hug my body in all the wrong places, but I sure hope other ladies are grabbing that up...

I really like the Allure Bridals 2515.  I think I'm going to try to go to RK Bridals with my mom this Sunday and see how many I can try on (they list that one on their website, so hopefully it's there!)

In case it's helpful to anyone else, here are some other dresses that meet some of my criteria that I found on the RK Bridals website and I'm looking forward to trying on if possible... I'll let you know how it goes!

    Alfred Angelo 2234

    Alfred Angelo 2240

    Anjolique A268

    Anjolique C172

Bonny 137 (I reeeeeeeally really like this one, but it seems like it may be discontinued... we'll see...)

@opalescent:  I was going to tell you that if there is a dress you really want to try on that they may not have, you can go online and see if the designer is having any trunk shows nearby and if they are you can request they bring a dress if its not in the current seasons collections (they usually bring all of these).

I got my dress at Davids Bridal and am in love with the style and with the details, the flowers sold me on the dress.

And you can always have straps added to dresses

Dang. These dresses are ALL so pretty. Wish I was rich, then like Heidi Klum and Seal I would renew my vows every year on our anniversay and wear a different dress! (But only my hubby and I would go to the renewal, I wouldnt throw an actual party. And I would donate my dresses. I hate to be TOOO wasteful lol :P)
