What are your thoughts about Robert California ?? I’m trying to like him, but after last nights episode, I just can’t! Though its hard to fill the Micheal Scoot void, I think the writers are overcompensating by having this ridiculous character that just steamrolls everyone.
What do you guys think? Maybe I’m just overreacting because I like Andy so much…

I’m going to be honest… I don’t like Robert California AT ALLLLLL. Even his name bothers me.
I also don’t like Andy either…. I miss Michael ='(
Team Pam & Jim all the way but I love Dwight too… even though he’s been boring this season.

@NerdLove11: I don’t care for him either. I <3 Andy too.
@HappilyEverAfter54: Jim = <3 hahahah. He’s so cute. I loved when he was climbing up to the roof of the building last night and his shoe fell off so it was ” step, ow, step, ow, step, ow”.

I’m a big Office fan, but I didn’t see last night’s episode yet. (It’s recorded). I actually think it’s past it’s peak, but I am pleased how the writers changed around the plot/roles. Suprisingly, I don’t miss Michael as much as I thought I would. I like to think he is happy in Colorado with Holly 🙂
My opinion might change after I watch last night’s, but Robert doesn’t bother me too much. Yes, he is not a likeable character – but I can see how “his type” would be a sucessful boss. I think it makes Andy that more endearing.
What is weirder to me is that they just abandoned Jo and switched her with Robert. I didn’t think that was a smooth as it could be.
I love Thursday NBC. Community and Parks and Rec are great too.

@Crabbabs: PARKS & REC! Yep. I think it’s better than The Office these days.

@Crabbabs: I agree that the Jo transition wasn’t smooth at all. Kathy Bates has her own show, so that’s why they exited her. I’d like to see if they’re really going to bring Catherine Tate back. She was good and could spice it up. I actually like Andy this season. I’m so glad that Jim said what critics have been saying about Andy that he’s well liked and doesn’t need to pull any Michael antics. Jim and Pam have become more likable this year. I’m worried that they’re writing Erin too thinly. I get that she’s ditzy, but the Gettysburg episode was painful. I wish that they’d flesh her out a bit more and maybe bring her and Andy back together. They were so cute together.
I also like to think that Michael and Holly are happy in Colorado being total dorks together. I found that transition fast too where she was in a long term relationship with the other guy, then boom, back with Michael, engaged, and then moved.

@HappilyEverAfter54: I’m the biggest Parks and Recs fan. One thing NBC did right two summers ago was rerun the season to gear up for its midseason return. I spent my summer Thursdays getting excited for Parks and Rec. Once they got their full season and timeslot thanks to Outsourced’s demise, I was so happy! I need my weekly Adam Scott fix!

I was thinking as we were watching it last night , that perhaps this show has “Jumped the shark” by trying so hard with the loss of Michael. Then something happens that makes me laugh, hehe… step ow step ow.
But i’m not as vigilant about not missing it so much anymore 🙁

@brox: tehe I just discovered it recently through Hulu (right before the new season came on) so I watched all of them and look soooo forward to it every Friday!! It replaced the excitement I had for The Office last year.

Honestly, I’ve been disappointed in The Office this season and I’m one of its biggest fans!! It just feels like they’re trying too hard or something.
I’m not a fan of Robert California at all. I still can’t believe it’s James Spader… Fiance and I hardly recognized him!
Parks & Rec has been wayyyyyy more fun to watch.
I actually really liked Outsourced and am kinda bummed it didn’t stick. Do you guys watch Whitney? Surprisingly Fiance likes it (I think just cuz he thinks Whitney is hot), but I just don’t think it’s funny…

I love The Office! I haven’t seen the episode from last night yet but I can’t stand Robert California. I miss Michael but I don’t mind Andy as the boss which surprises me because I never liked his character. I love Jim&Pam and Erin. My least favorite is Dwight.
I used to love the Office but now I find myself watching it 5 days later. Community, Parks & Rec and Its Always Sunny take priority. Dwight used to say the funniest/most random stuff and it just doesn’t happen as much anymore. More Erin & Andy please. Idk it just feels like the show is sloooowly fading into mediocrity.

I think if this isn’t the last season they might want to change the cast.
I personally don’t like Andy, Erin or Robert but they can leave Andy and replace the other 2 and I’d still watch for a few more seasons.

@TinyTina: I liked Outsourced too! I was sad to see it go.
And Fiance has a thing for Whitney too, and the brunette on two broke chicks or whatever it’s called. I found out that Whitney co-created both shows which would be why i don’t think either of them is funny.

@TinyTina: I miss Outsourced too!!! Dh and I loved it.
I actually do like the office without Michael Scott. I really like Andy as the boss but I wish they would do more Erin&Andy stuff.
I LOVE Parks and Rec – I think it’s way funnier than the office!!
