My teeth are stained, nothing bad just dingy (I’ve had several rounds of braces and while I don’t smoke I have a serious love of Diet Coke and coffee), but I would really like to have them whitened before the wedding (natural white not blindingly white).
I was curious what products/services other bees have used and how they have worked out for you…

As long as you don’t end up like this:
Hehe, I have no advice but I needed to post Ross’ experience lol.
Good luck! 😉

@AnaA: I thought of that too!
@renwoman: I really want to whiten my teeth too. FI and I quit our pop habit earlier this year but they’re still slightly stained. They’re not bad by any means but just enough to bother me. Only problem is I have fairly sensitive teeth.

@AnaA: LOL! I don’t want glow in the dark!

@renwoman: Why don’t you give over the counter strips a try on your vacations (so you can stay at home if anything not nice happen, hopefuly it won’t hehe)? That’s what I would do!

Did anyone watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year? There was a host (don’t remember his name) whose teeth were RIDICULOUSLY white. DH was the one that noticed and called me in. It was over the top.
@AnaA: I LOVE that episode.
@renwoman: Crest Whitening Strips. I use them twice a year and they work really well. Get the premium strips so they don’t easily come off. They are about $35-40.00 and you can usually get a coupon online.

I recommend oil pulling with coconut oil. i’ve been doing it for a year and i have much whiter teeth. google it

I always swish with hydrogen peroxide when I brush. You can also make a paste by adding baking soda to the hydrogen peroxide and it will whiten naturally.

Try out the whitening strips, people have great results from them! If you find it isn’t enough then maybe consider a professional service. please please please do not go to a mall kiosk. I’m a dental hygienist and those things INFURIATE me.

@Treejewel19: Extravagant hosts FTW lol!

i’ve used the crest white strips and got awesome results!
i hear that brushing with a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and baking soda works very well too.
also (you might already be doing this), drinking your soda and other dark liquids through a straw helps minimize staining.

- Wedding: November 2013 - St. Augustine Beach, FL
@renwoman: My husband uses whitening toothpaste ($4 per tube for Optic White by Colgate) and he swishes with regular hydrogen peroxide (89 cents per liter). We both used over the counter strips in the weeks leading up to the wedding so our teeth looked good but not blinding, obviously bleached white.

@mu_t: One of my cousins is a dentist and she says those things freak her out. I mean it was tempting, but I’ve just heard too many horror stories.
@lilchicana: I’ll try the drinking my Diet Coke through a straw, but do you think that means coffee too? That would be a bit wierd, but I guess it’s part of the things we do for beauty!
Everyone seem to be leaning to the Crest brand for white strips, are they better than the store brand (is the extra money worth it)?

We will be using crest strips, I don’t want my teeth blinding white.. just a little whiter than they are.
