Hi hive! I’m having some trouble with my X-Acto laser paper trimmer. It worked wonderfully for all of the paper I cut for my save the dates, but now it’s not giving me a sharp cut. Either it comes out very jagged, or just doesn’t cut through the paper. I’m afraid the blade has become dull, but I’ve only used it for one project so far! I really don’t want to have to buy another cutter, so does anyone have any tips on how to keep the blade sharp?

I have no idea… but I am jealous you have a laser paper cutter.

Some sources suggest trying wax paper (to lubricate it) or aluminum foil (not sure what that does).
That link even mentions using sandpaper! But that sounds potentially damaging.
I’d try wax paper or foil – or even a "sandwich" of wax paper between two pieces of foil.
Alternatively, you could try removing the blade and sharpening it… but that doesn’t sound viable if it’s only been one project!

Thanks Mr. Bee! I’ll be making a wax paper/foil sandwich tonight- I’ll let you know how it turns out!
