Yes...our sanfu is my MIL decided I can't have a small intimate rehearsal dinner but because it's a destination wedding we have to have a welcome dinner. Not a huge deal...but also not in the budget! They were willing to pay but there aren't so many cheap options for a group of 40.
Invite mock-ups are done, E-pics and hair trial are at the end of next week.
We are going cake tasting in 20 minutes!!! I am waiting for Mr. S to get out of the shower!!! Haven't done much else... kinda in a lull. Need to get moving on the dress thing but putting it off as I hope to lose weight and hard to imagine a dress 15 lbs lighter!
This month my main focus is... EVERYTHING. I booked my videographer, my DJ, we planned out our honeymoon, and I'm going dress shopping in two weeks (for the third and hopefully for the last time)! We also did some cake tasting already, but weren't too thrilled so we'll try again later. Maybe next week. ;)
I can't believe how close the day is getting, and how much is getting done! It almost feels like I'll have nothing left to do as the date gets closer... which is GOOD, because I have to focus on graduating from law school!

Choose carefully when you're dress shopping, ladies! I put down a deposit a few weeks ago, and am having major dress regrets. I was just a bit worn down by the whole process, and ended up buying something that I would return if I could. I'm stuck with it, though, and just I don't have the energy to do the whole "two dress bride" thing. So please take my advice, and keep shopping until you find something you love!
March 2010 is coming up fast!
I guess March is fast approaching. I have booked everything except a videographer and the transportation. We took care of most of the vendors within 2 months of being engaged and now we are just waiting til we get closer for fine tuning the details.
I have everything booked but the caterer. And I have a dress! It looks horrible in the picture from the website, but on me I think it looks pretty!
Despite being engaged since April 2007, I'm slightly behind. But it's all right; I think I can catch up pretty easily.
I finally found a reasonably priced restaurant for the rehearsal dinner. We've been really lucky in negotiating great deals since it's the off season. If you are still booking vendors, I suggest you try it too.

We've booked our venue, which includes catering, alcohol, and our cake. We've booked our photographer, and I think we'll book our DJ next week. We've booked our officiant. I've ordered and received my dress, but it has a few small issues and I may send it back. :(
We're not hiring a videographer. We're not hiring transportation for ourselves.
Have not yet booked our honeymoon, though that's one of the big ones remaining!
We are getting close!! Next week we sit down with our wedding planner and go over EVERYTHING...floral, seating, food tasting, cake tasting. Everything all in one shot. After that we need to finish the invitations, make invites for the welcome dinner and buy our rings. Hopefully that's it! Less than 6 months to go :)

How is everyone doing? Are you coming across any snafus or is it still smooth sailing?
This month we've really started the whole dress shopping thing and it is harder than I thought. I thought for sure I'd find a dress online, go in to a bridal salon, try it on and boom! Done! My experience has been ANYTHING but that.
