@cupcake728: congratulations fellow gemma bride! for my shoes i got louboutin black glitter slingbacks (i knew i had to get something that i can wear again!) and i will probably wear some dangly earrings. what about you?
I'm a hopeful Gemma bride- I'm leaning towards Jimmy Choo's India mirrored slingback sandals (in silver) for my shoes. Not sure about the jewelry. Probably going with long earrings and a bracelet vs. a necklace. Also, since I'm getting Gemma without the blizzard beading, I'll probably attach a brooch at the skirt seam.
Those are gorgeous Magz!! You're wearing your Gemma with the beaded belt too, right? You'll look stunning :)
@shoegal_622: I don't I will wear the sash! I wasn't even going to buy the sash but the store ordered one anyways (no charge to me). I want to look really long and keep the dress fluid, I feel like belts and sashes can cut the body. I will say though belts and sashes still look beautiful!
@magz88 I think you're right about sashes cutting the body, I was actually really concerned about Gemma to begin with because I'm petite and was worried the mermaid skirt would cut me into sections- it doesn't, but I think adding a sash on my frame would. I personally need to cheat a bit to look longer/leaner, but some lucky ladies can really pull them off though and I love seeing those looks!
i'm so torn. found a few pairs that i liked this summer but now have to wait until next summers shoes come out. i'm petite also and am going to need a serious heel to go with gemma.

Check out the link, a lot of us have posted pictures of us in the gown.
I just got these awesome Louboutins at Neimans and I cannot for the life of me find a picture on the internet. They are the Shelley style

In this gold pebbled leather:

And I am wearing the blizzard beaded sash. I like how it looks with the dress and it's so subtle that I don't think it really cuts the body too much.
I found these satin Badgley Mischkas! I have the blizzard beading and noticed that the jeweled or rough shoes caught on the bottom.

Shoes have been my biggest dilemma with this ensemble. I bought a pair of white satin Louboutin heels and I plan to strass them with light amethyst or vintage pink Swarovski crystals. Still trying to decide. :)

@techie: I would LOVE to see your Louboutin's when you're finished with them- I saw your other post where you mentioned you'll be dying them as well as adding the crystals! I'm nowhere near brave enough to do that myself, or at least I don't think I am, but if yours turn out great, a tutorial may just be in order!! :)
Hello!
Lovely shoes. I wish I could sport heels. I physically cannot hold up in anything bearing more than a one inch heel. My husband-to-be is just one inch taller than I am. So I have decided to go with comfort and style (being aesthetically proportional to my love) and wear ballet flats!
I am so excited to do that!
Thanks for all the responses! I finally decided on a shoe. I was unsure since I bought the ivory/blush color, but I decided to get a pair of Louboutins strassed! So excited! Still haven't decided on jewelry.
@cupcake728: are you doing the strass yourself or are you having someone do it?
@shoegal_622: I am having someone do it. I am too nervous to do something like that myself, nor do I think I have the patience! =(
I ended up getthing these - super comfortable and will be able to wear them all day.
@mjm2012: I also bought sparkly Jimmy Choos! Mine are gold and have a slingback though. I agree that they are soooo comfortable - that's what sold me on the shoes!

@hunnyoat: I'm considering it! My fiance isn't that much taller than I am, and while I've looked at amazing stilettos, I'm still having an incredibly difficult time finding shoes that are "perfect". I guess I'll know them when I see them :)
I did slightly bolder Jimmy Choos....I always dreamed of blue shoes but couldn't resist these!
I haven't bought jewelery yet, but I am leaning towards a very small tear drop earring, and a plain sparkly band on my wrist- no necklace. And I'm not really a big earring type of gal.
I too am a Gemma bride! The pics are in the sample dress at the store :) wanted to get opinions on sash vs. no sash...and does anyone have pictures of the Vera Wang Gemma sash? Thanks, ladies!!
