We are getting a wii fit plus today from someone! I am basically at a zero with exercise and thinking this would be a good start since it’s a bit interactive.
Tips, suggestions, things to do, you liked, didn’t? Any info would be great.

Hi! I have one! It’s fun, a good way to get back into exercise, intensity of workout depends on what games you’re using. Some of the things are silly, and I like them fine – there’s one where you’re in a chicken suit, flapping your arms, cracks me up! (And incidentally works upper arms). Yoga is my new fave. Also, you can create routines, that’s a feature I like a lot. Good luck with it, and have fun!

Lol – I did that at my FIL’s house! They love their wii fit. The games are really fun, but in terms of a workout, I can only recommend the hula hoops and the yoga.
P.S. Every time I talk to him, FFIL tells me that the Wii has been asking about me. Creepy.

I was basically at the same place as you were to start – zero with exercise. The Wii Fit is great for a starter, especially the boxing and the hula hoop – what a workout! We’ve since purchased The Biggest Loser for the Wii Fit, and I’ve found it to be a great workout – it’s a very rare day that I don’t work up a sweat. I still occasionally use the Wii Fit games if I want something “easier” while still burning some calories.

I like the games part of wii fit plus the most. The workouts are ok (I’ve watched my sister do them..that burns plenty of calories for me, right? Hehe) but my favorites are the math ones where you booty-bump the mushrooms, the balance games, and the obstacle course.

We bought a Wii to give us another option to get some exercise. We live in a very cold climate so lots of days it’s hard to even step out the door. And you can only do the treadmill so much. So those days where were finding hard to get motivated we’ll play some games on it. We don’t find it to be as hard as actually working out but it’s better than doing nothing. Great starting point for beginners.

I just got my Wii Fit Plus in the other day! I had purchased one when living with my FILs, but we left it for them (as we didn’t get our own Wii until Christmas this year).
Now, I also purchased Just Dance 2, which is a blast. It gets me moving and burning calories (burned 140 in 15mins last night, according to my HRM – which I also just purchased to motivate myself as well). Today I ordered Zumba for Wii, as a coworkers wife recommended it. I figure, if I have options, I’m more likely to rotate and use them.
Plus, after playing JD2 last night, I felt motivated to jog the dog (only about 1/2 a mile, but that’s better than nothing).

I love Zumba and Just Dance for wii, but Wii Fit Plus is a great intro to get back into working out. My favorites are Rhythm Parade, Kick Boxing and The Obstacle Course. I also have a routine set up of my favorite yoga and strength exercises. It’s about 30 minutes. I don’t burn a lot of calories, but it’s a good warm up.

My coworker gave me hers! I have a lot of fun, but I have to tell you, my Wii Fit can be a jerk! “Oh…did you know it’s been 3 days since you’ve been here? You know, exercise every day is good for you.” Ha ha ha. I love the hula hoops and step routines. I’ve been doing other stuff, but I’ve lost 17 pounds!
