Wow I am surpirsed no one has posted here yet. I am sooooo excited to for a winter wedding too. Being in Wisconson you will probably have snow, lucky. How beautiful is that going to be!! I am in Texas no chance of snow here but at least in December it won't be in the 100's . LOL. I am playing up the christmas theme to the max (with out it looking like Mrs. Claus is getting married) I am having a very small wedding. 21 guests, so no attendants. Mr. perfect will be wearing a black suit, white shirt and red tie and red rose boutineer. So will my Dad. Cake is snow white with sugar crystals to look like glistening snow and covered in Red roses and a large black cursive K as the topper. I decided to do a small faux fur muff (even though most on this board don't like them) and I am adding red hydrangeas, white roses, ivy and bright green berries to cascade over the top of the muff. Alter deco is going to be two very large poinsettias with ivy and pine boughs in glossy black pots. Keeping the reception in the same red, black white theme with small hints of lime green to keep it interesting. The chapel is all lit by gas flame carriage lights, no electric. I am walking in to the Christmas Cannon by Trans Siberian Orchestra. I am SOOOOO excited I can hardly wait.
Please, please please tell me all your details. I really would love to hear about them. Post pictures if you have them! I wish you a beautiful winter wedding and a fantastically happy marrage!
As you can see I am having a Christmas themed wedding...red, green and gold....My cake stand is a sleigh, my centerpieces are red and green and gold, my church has red and green and gold stained glass windows, my candy buffet is in red, green and gold and will have Christmas candy, I am giving each guest a christmas tree shaped candy jar to fill up with candy, there will be two decorated christmas trees in the reception hall...the girls will be wearing green and red dresses and the guys ties and vest are red and green, poinsettias in all the bouquets, we all have ivory fur capes, etc.........screams Christmas

I'm getting so excited for my wedding on 12/10/11. I have NEVER been to a winter wedding and I'm so excited to attend my first one and to have it be mine!! lol To come to think of it, I don't think many of my family members have been to one either, which really makes it all the more special.
Just wanted to here from some other winter brides out there. Where, when, what sort of things are you doing, have any photos of your ideas, or any other comments you would like to share, I'd love to hear.
Good luck with all your planning!
