I’m more of a lurker in these parts, but I know some of you have some awesome hobbies!
I started a blog that grew a lot faster than I thought it would. I’m interested in getting into a small group of writers that will commit to critiquing each other’s work. I need to focus on character development, scene development, etc.
Anyone know of something like this? I tried my local Meet Up groups but nothing that fit exactly. I’m open to online or in person.

I’m a writer! Right now, it’s more of a hobby than a profession, but I am REALLY trying to focus more on getting my work “out there,” I’m just not sure how to do it.
Mostly I write novels for young adults and teenagers, and I have blogged (rather privately) in the past, but I would like to try and get a blog started that people actually read. Of course, getting paid to write would be icing on the cake.
Are you thinking of something that could be done in someone’s spare time? I’d love to commit to more, but I have so much else going on right now (“real world” crap – UGH lol) so I’d like to start off slow/small.
Let me know!

@kw617: My neighboring city has a writer’s group but I haven’t had a chance to attend yet.
What kind of writing do you do? I’d be interested to know what genres too if that applies. For work, I do some copywriting and journalism and for fun I do some screenwriting and playwriting and occasional poetry, but it’s been a while.
