Yellow gold doesn't seem to be in vogue anymore, but since my ring is an heirloom I'm interested to see who else has yellow gold engagement rings or wedding bands :)
Show us yours! Yellow gold is back in style, as far as mainstream fashion, so it's only a matter of time before the wedding industry catches on!
Its so funny how trends change! White gold was so en vogue way back when then yellow gold kind of forever and then white again in the 90s/00s and I definitely see yellow making a come-back. I used to be one of those people who wouldn't wear any yellow gold but I'm really starting to like it!! It can really make the diamonds "pop"

Here is my yellow gold ring. I always disliked yellow gold until I saw this one and fell in love. Now I love yellow gold. :)
Corgi/Mouse - goes to show how much I pay attention to trends these days ;) I just noticed that an overwhelming majority of e-rings and bands are all "white" - gold, platinum, palladium. I hope that the yellow gold is making a comeback - would make me happy. :) Corgi - I also NEVER wore anything that was gold - my e-ring is the first piece of jewelry that I've worn that's yellow gold.

I don't have a yellow gold e-ring, but I do have a beautiful yellow gold bracelet and a yellow gold squirrel necklace, both of which I wear everyday, that were given to me by FI :)
Forget my nails, I know they're gross!

I usually wear all white gold or silver - but lately I've been just drooling yellow gold pieces and I've started to incorporate them into my jewelry "wardrobe". Admittedly, I am a jewelry wh0re - and I collect gemstones. So, while this is not my E-ring, it is one of my favorite rings. It is a cushion cut Lemon Citrine set in Yellow Gold - love it!

VanessaB- Is that a Heart of Water lotus ring? They are so pretty. I have a small sapphire and silver one that I love!
Any more gold engagement rings? None? Oof! Seems like it is out of style...
This is a really interesting post. I want a yellow gold ring maily because I want the classic yellow gold wedding band to go with it. But I live in the UK and yellow gold is FAR more popular than in the US. I usually wear yellow gold jewellery anyway because it lights my skin up more and white gold/platinum just looks at bit too modern/cold to me.

my engagement ring is white gold, but the wedding band I've chosen is both yellow/white gold. I absolutely love mixing metals and think it's super chic. I agree with mouse that it's only a matter of time before the wedding industry catches on!
here's mine (eep, I hope!). I always thought I would want white gold, but FH picked the ring out all on his own without us ever discussing preference, and I love what he picked!

You're actually just in time... yellow gold is coming back into vogue. ;) Mr. Spaniel and I went to pick up my wedding band yesterday and yellow gold settings were ALL over the place. They were still outnumbered by white and platinum, but I can tell this is picking up. Our kids will probably all think white-tone metals are old-fashioned by the time they are in our shoes. ;)
You all are SO right about the Yellow Gold trend. It (like everything else) is totally a cyclical trend. When I was young (way back in the 80's!) yellow gold was all the rage. My Mom has a white gold wedding set and I remember I used to think that her rings were totally out of style! I'm sure my kids will someday think that about mine - but who knows, maybe by the time they get married white gold/platinum will be back en vogue!
I love yellow gold! My FI picked out my ring and he did a fabulous job.
@spaniel you are so right...my daughter will probably think my white gold is old school just like the way I used to look at my moms yellow gold (now I think it is beautiiful).
I like yellow gold for everyday where but my e-ring and wedding bands are white gold
sorry, my first time posting a pic... but that's my yellow gold with emerald cut diamond that I just can't stop staring at.... I LOVE IT. =)
Although we went with a platinum e-ring & wedding band, I have some yellow gold pieces that I love wearing (including my favorite earrings)! As posted above, this trend absolutely is cyclical (probably prompted by the jewelry industry to sell more rings) and what's more important is you have a ring that you absolutely love to wear! Beautiful jewelry, girls!
Here's my ring (: I considered having it reset in white gold, but I wanted something different. Its on the wrong finger because it's way to big at the moment.

I agree with others that yellow gold is making a comeback. I see tons of yellow gold costume jewelry at places like Forever 21 in the mall, especially places young people shop. The wedding industry hasn't caught up yet.
I have a yellow gold solitaire. I prefer yellow. The only bummer is trying to find as many of the new cutesy wedding bands in yellow. I really like the bands that are kind of the bubble looking style with alternating square, round, marquise etc shaped gold.
PS. I realize these are all pretty much the same picture. Haha. Just showing the gold in different lighting.
This is my Tacori 2299 purchased through Good Old Gold in NY (a family jeweler). I had it set with an August Vintage Round diamond, which is their reproduction of an old euro cut but with ideal proportions for light performance. It's a knockout b/c the stone is amazing and the setting is awesome. I <3 yellow gold.

I'm a yellow gold girl too! At first I was a bit surprised when presented with my ering, but I totally love it. I feel like it is absolutely me, absolutely unique, and absolutely stunning. So happy to see all these artsy and beautiful yellow gold rings!
