Kelbel926:  I’m a Yorkshire girl currently living in the Midlands so maybe not a great deal of Yorkshire specific advice to give you I’m afraid but wanted to say hi. What style of dress are you looking for an, if you don’t mind saying, what kind of budget were you thinking of?

I’m not from Yorkshire, but I am from Britain, so might be some help. If you’re looking at high street stores try Monsoon, Coast, Debenhams and BHS, and also have a look at very.co.uk. Also, Quiz has a really good range of dresses at really good prices, so they’re also worth a look www. quizclothing.co.uk. Basically, it might just be worth hitting the high street and seeing what you find.

Otherwise, try bridal shops; I can’t point you in the right direction specifically for where you live, but when I was looking for shops I just typed in bridal shops in yell.com and searched by distance, then went on their websites to see what designers they offered. before visiting 4 in person.

Hope that helps!

Kelbel926:  I’m not from Yorkshire, but my FH is, and we got our bridesmaids dresses from Abigail’s Bridal Boutique in Leeds, who were really lovely and had a great selection.

Kelbel926:  I’m from Yorkshire (Mighty might Yorkshire etc.). I went to http://weddingdress-factoryoutlet.co.uk/locations/north-west/ which is in Bolton near Manchester but ALL of their dress are £450 or less but got my dress from http://bridalfactoryoutlets.com/blog/tag/stoke-on-trent-bridal-shop/ in Stockport, I went to both in one day. The prices were good and the service and experience at the second one was fantastic. But they are both places where they only have the dresses that they have so you try everything in your size on and can either buy it or not but there’s no option of ordering stuff in other sizes and if you don’t buy it on the day there’s no guarantee that it will still be there another day.

I live in Yorkshire. Other than bridal shops, you are probably better off spending a day at Meadowhall or the Trafford Centre and just going shop to shop. Coast and Monsoon have some really nice dresses but can be quite expensive. Also try Warehouse and Oasis, Reiss, Karen Millen and House of Fraser etc…

If you can afford to spend a bit more try heading south to Birmingham and looking round Selfridges- they have so many nice dresses.

Hull here! Coast will have some lovely options come Spring and Summer. Really pretty but not saccharin. Your bridesmaids may not even hate you! I haven’t explored bridal shops but I find a lot of dresses sold as bridesmaids dresses a bit naff.

Where are you from in Yorkshire?
