I coupon. After seeing ‘Extreme Couponing’, I jumped to it. Because I live in Canada, its impossible to go to the extreme like they do. Do you live in Canada? If yes, check out these sites,

http://www.pgeverydaysolutions.ca/index.jsp’ defer=’defer

https://websaver.ca/en_ca/coupons/login.php

You will have to register, and then you click the coupons you want, and they’ll send them to you. I normally click on all of them, and what ever onces I don’t use, I leave on the product for someone else to use. It took about a week+ to actually get them. And they are AWESOME!! Today I went grocery shopping and saved $12. I even got 2 things for free!!!

Also, check out product sites. (Cashmere, Always, etc) Most places have coupons on them.

Any other question, I’m happy to help!!

Funny you mention this now…FI just went couponing for the first time EVER today.  He was so excited he saved us 33% or $42.  It’s nothing like the TV show, but for us it’s a start.

I’ve always clipped coupons here and there, but have no interest in having a “stockpile.”  Sometimes, I look at the Extreme Coupon people and think they are hoarders.

I’m happy to find a coupon for an item I need, but I don’t like the idea of clearing the shelves of an item.  In fact, that annoys the heck out of me.

I wish the Extreme Coupon show had more people donating items.  I’ve only seen it happen twice.

The best thing to do is to look for a website that matches to your stores sales.  They do all the work for you and all you have to do is get the paper, clip and shop!  I currently use Southern Savers.  Just start out a little at a time and you will start building up a stockpile.  Unlike the Extreme Couponers say, most things go on sale every 4 to 6 weeks so you don’t need to keep thousands of products on hand to get a good deal.

There is a website that lists deals by state or stores but I will have to look it up for you when I get home.

I’ve been couponing for about a 1.5 years now.

Nowhere near the extreme on the show, but I don’t need to because it’s just me and FI. I follow Southern Savers to get all my coupon matchups and stock up when I can.

I just did a pretty large stock up on Welch’s juice and Fuze.

I got 30 bottles of Welch’s 100% Juice for $30 after coupons, but would’ve normally cost $120. I also got 46 bottles of Fuze for $7.50 after coupons, but would’ve normally cost $57.50.

I saw that show last night! I gotta admit, those ladies are tad bit crazy…40+ hours a week on couponing?! Um no thanks.

Although, I did like how that one pastor (reverend?) couponed so that he could donate it all and there was another guy who donated stuff for care packages to troops.

I just don’t know where people have the time…

@YSQueen: So how do you get 30+ coupons?  Do you buy 30 papers or do you trade the coupons with people online or in person?  I’ve wondered about that.

Okay, I just went to Harris Teeter, where they are having a triple coupon promotion for the next few days.

Order total: 126.86

VIC Card savings: $35.23

Coupons: $46.37

My cost: $45.26

I’m pretty happy with myself. They didn’t have the exact products for two of my coupons.  I wondered if they would honor the coupon for a similar item (low sodium vs. regular, for example), but decided not to chance it.

@MrsSaltWaterTaffy:  I hope I didn’t come off as sneaky.  I had a coupon for a low sodium item and the store only carries the regular item.  I honestly didn’t know if it was a problem.

I have never lived anywhere where I could find stores that double or triple coupon.

Also, most things I buy dont have coupons. Thats the problem I find most on. Eggs? plain yogurt? spinach, cabbage, apples etc.

But I do try. I have gotten about 30-40% off before looking for the good sales and a few coupons. I end up shopping a few stores to get the best prices (like dollar store, big lots, grocery, costco)
