Last election, I was entering my senior year of college and watched the results streaming in with about 40 other college students at someone’s house. There was an abundance of booze, food, beer pong… And really just another excuse to get together on a ” school night”.
Tomorrow, Darling Husband and I will go together after work to vote, and I’m making American flag themed cupcakes tonight for an after diner treat while we watch the news tomorrow evening… Our goal is to stay up until the West Coast polls close ( I HIGHLY doubt we will make it!).
Anyone else have plans ? Fun memories or traditions?

My parents are flying in from Boston, so I can’t go to my local campaign office’s party, which stinks because I was really looking forward to it. I think I’ll just get a bottle of wine and watch the coverage at my house until my parents get in. In 2008, I was in my first year of law school and had a great party at my apartment. Lots of beer and beer pong.

My husband and I will be biting our nails from home!

I actually have a PostSecret Live event tomorrow night, so I will be pulled away from the TV then. Ah! Otherwise I’d be glued to the tube all night by myself. I’ll be keeping tabs the rest of the day though.

My neighbor is having people over for pot luck, which is great because all my neighbors are really good cooks:). I’m bringing some Stella (size extra-large-just in case) and some fig goat cheese encrusted with pistachios. Yum!
I just hope “my” guy wins, but I’m with a like-minded crowd, so it will either be misery loves company or a real party. Lol

No big plans, but if Romney wins I’ll be turning my phone off so my very Republican family won’t be able to call me to gloat like they’ve promised to do so so so many times. :/
I kinda want to bake some America themed cupcakes now though, so I just might steal that idea! Any excuse for cupcakes is a great thing.

@misspeanut: I know – me too! I want some red, white, and blue cupcakes!

I’ll probably be sitting on the computer waiting for a thousand happy or angry posts on facebook letting me know who won. Then grabbing a 6 pack of beer and just living with whatever happens. lol

@misspeanut: Don’t worry… it’s looking good for O! *fingers crossed*
I’ve got a book club get-together with like-minded friends, so hopefully we’ll be half talking about books and half celebrating!

If I can actually make it to the polls, I am probably going to try and wear FI’s Mitt Romney mask.

I will use any excuse to use my kitchen aid mixer and make cupcakes. ANY EXCUSE!

I voted early last Tuesday… but we will definitely be watching and cheering from home tomorrow night. We have the day off so we might go to the zoo… not that that is in any way related!

It’s just another day for me (other than I’ll be stopping at the polls on my way to work).

We live across the street from a liberal bar, so we’ll be hanging out there.
