I have two things I LOVE to eat that completely gross FI out. One I can understand, I love to eat a baked potato (with the skin steamed off) and on top I like about 2 tablespoons of chili from a can, a slice of cheese and tons of ketchup. Yes, pretty gross I know.
The other thing I love is something I found at home in Texas. Tacos are HUGE in Texas (breakfast tacos, as in soft tortillas with bacon, eggs, etc). There is a gas station in Texas named buccees that is also insanely popular that serves breakfast tacos… My favorite is tater tot, beans and cheese. Instead of having regular potatoes they serve tater tots, which is where I fell in love. I frequently make my “tater taco” as he not so lovingly refers to it… haha
Anyone else eat strange foods, or am I the only one?

Well I don’t qualify them as strange, but I love vegan cheese, soymilk, tofu, quinoa, sprouts, etc that most people hate! I get called weird all the time for it.

There are some “weird” foods in my Asian culture… fried stinky/fermented tofu, pig ears, “thousad year old egg”, coagulated blood, etc etc… and yes, I gladly eat them all!
I also love experiencing foods from all different cultures: Indian, Thai, Mexican, Malaysian, Persian, Greek, Armenian, etc etc. I love living in LA… I can find pretty much any type of food here.

I like kale and turnips…people tend to find that weird, lol. I also used to eat mayonnaise out of the jar, which grosses ME out–and ironically, I now can’t stand mayo.

I like tuna fish with honey. Weird, I know.

My ultimate comfort food (and best sandwich EVER) is my peanut butter, banana, and mayonaise sandwich. I think it’s more accepted in the south (My mom in from NC and I learned it from her) but up here in good ol’ Ohio, I get the weirdest looks and nastiest responses. It is DELICIOUS though!
I also douse my eggs in ketchup…

I love cottage cheese with italian dressing mixed in it.

@RayRayFurious: Tuna fish with honey sounds delicious to me for some reason. I think I’m going to try that! =)
I love mayonaisse with my french fries. I lot of people think it’s gross but supposedly it’s how they eat fries in Europe. I’ve never been so I’m thinking I’ll enjoy Europe 😉

Oh, I also douse pretty much everything I eat with Tabasco sauce: eggs, spaghetti, chicken alfredo, corn on the cob, etc.

I probably eat a lot of weird stuff, I usually don’t think of it as “weird” until someone points it out to me that they think it’s weird.
Pickled quail eggs
Sardines in mustard sauce
Vinegar (yep, just vinegar. I’ll pour it into a spoon and drink it, I’ll do that multiple times in a row! Especially balsamic or apple cider vinegar)
Various meats that aren’t mainstream in the USA: ostrich, goat, rabbit, pheasant, deer, etc.
I also like eating out-of-the-norm veggies, like celery root, chayote, etc. When I see a veggie I’ve never had before at the grocery store, I buy it and figure out how to cook it.

I like cold tater tots and fries. That’s really all I can think of.
Eggs scrambled over leftover spaghetti. It’s delicious.

Well I guess I’m meant to stay in Texas because a tater tot breakfast taco doesn’t sound weird to me at all!
…and now I’m craving breakfast tacos. Mmm.
I don’t know that I eat anything that’s particularly weird. I guess my weirdest thing is that when I’m sick I always crave chicken flavored Ramen noodles with sour cream & onion Pringles. Yum!

@cardigan.. i know, us Texas girls know all about some tacos! Every time I say something about tacos here people are like “ewww you eat tacos in the MORNING” um no, not hard shell tacos :/
Drives me CRAZY.
Also, thought of another one… I put ranch alllll over my spaghetti. Makes it a weird color, but it is oh so awesome.

Vanilla ice cream and mustard. I haven’t had it in awhile, and thanks to this post, I’m craving it!
