yes! the rsvps are due in 3 days and we still have like 30 that need to come in… wtf people. And my first dress fitting in the 12th of June.  Wedding is on the 11th of July.  I feel like that’s cutting it close, but the dress shop said it’s fine.

lcutter711:  our rsvps are due Thursday and we also have about 30! That’s what I say…how hard is it to respond?!?!

Also my first dress fitting is Thursday (one month before) so don’t worry about that time line! I actually went back in May but wanted to lose more weight so they said to come back in June!

Akbridezilla:  I’m doing my hair/ make up trial Wednesday. I got my earrings/ veil last week and still don’t know what other jewelry I’m wearing. Or underwear lol.

lcutter711:  Date twin!  🙂  Our RSVP deadline was last week because the venue (even though they’re not providing the food) wanted our final headcount a month in advance.  Haven’t got a clue why.  We ended up with about 25 missing.  Deadline was 5/28 and we are starting this week on contacting people who haven’t responded but with 5 of us to tackle the list, it’s going pretty quickly.

I’ve had my first dress fitting – prom season here so I wanted to get squeezed in as soon as possible.  Good thing, too – they’ve been turning people away they’re so busy!  I go back for the final fitting on July 3rd but they didn’t have to do much so unless I gain/lose a bunch of weight, I’m not worried about more needing to be done.

Akbridezilla:

I took memorial day weekend to get a ton of DIY stuff done so I was panicking before that.  Now I feel back on track.  I will print the programs and assemble the menu cards about 2 weeks before the wedding so that all that’s left after the 4th of july weekend (going out of town) is the seating plan and place cards.

I stopped by the venue after my bridal shower this last weekend becuase they were having an open house so it was nice to see it all done up for a wedding.  Now I’ve got an idea for the floor plan in the reception tent to work out with our DOC.  Seems like it’s all coming together!

Same on the rsvps, the deadline is Thursday and we still have a handful that havent responded. I’m having my first dress fitting on Saturday for July 3rd wedding so we all seem to be around the same timeline for that. Also getting my hair and makeup trial before the fitting so I hope that goes well! Need to go pickup marriage liscence soon also!

lcutter711:  My dress hasn’t even arrived yet! Freaking out! And no makeup trial until I arrive at my destination wedding venue 3 days beforehand! Ugggh. At least I should be able to get my hair sorted soon.

I feel ahead of the game so I am calm. Dress is done, make up trial is done (diy’ing what I learnt at Sephora), decorations are basically finished. I have finished making cake pops for the dessert table. I only have 18 chocolates left to make and packages up for the favours. Have to make up some cabbage rolls for the wedding in about 4 days. But that is about it, and buy a marriage license I guess haha. More to do come a few days beforehand as I am a diy bride with no day of planner and have to decorate myself (with help of course).

weatherbug:  It is very difficult for people to respond it seems. I had about 20 or so people I had to track down and a few who still haven’t. So I am not talking to them in hopes that maybe they don’t come hahah. I will stuff have a spot set for them just in case.  :p

I’m marrying out of town, so I don’t want to assemble welcome bags or attendant gifts until I’m there… one week before… because they’ll take up more room in the car. I feel like none of my vendors know when they have to be where. Should I expect anyone to contact me or will I have to do all the reaching out? Two bridesmaids dresses aren’t in yet. At least one will need substantial alterations. I think we’re waiting on like 40 response cards… they’re due today. A stomach flu went around my salon the day I was in town for my trial, so that will have to be week of as well. I need to change a few details with my caterer/venue. Haven’t ordered programs. Missed the deadline to tell my apartment I’m moving out at the end of the month so I have to find a new renter in 2 weeks or pay literally thousands of dollars – and the realty company is in the right (I’m a lawyer). Almost every day someones’s like “so you’re all done planning!” Am I really so much worse at this than usual that everyone, including practical strangers, assume I’m done??
