I know it is for WB and it isn't getting in the way of seeing anything but why stick it there? I mean we have planty of other adds all over this site. Why stick yet another in my face? It just bugs me. It feels like it gets in the way.
I just noticed it last night, and I couldn't figure out if it was new or if I'd just never scrolled down that far. You just answered my question.
I keep thinking that is the end of the posts on the first page, and it stops me from looking any further! I'm getting over that, but yea... it's a little irritating.
yeah...i keep forgetting to scroll all the way down now...i really hate it.

I vastly dislike the new ad. There are ads all over the page and now they are literally being crammed up my nose? Annoying.
Yeah. It's really awkward. But I'm guessing it's not going anywhere, so I'll just have to get used to it...

I feel like everywhere I look now WB is trying to sell me something.
I understand why. They are trying to bring in more revenue but I just feel there's a better way to skin the cat.
What bugs me even more than the sudden band of DIY Pick of the Week is the band of Editor's Pick Of The Week on the blog.
The right hand column of ads, ok. But everything else belongs in the WeddingBee Shop. The INYOURFACE is kind of annoying.
If you're going to stick it in the middle of all the comments at least change it more than once a week. I do not want to DIY my own programs for a Catholic Mass kthxbye
I'll admit it doesn't bother me too much. There was one last night that I totally clicked on. It was a how-to DIY program. This will probably just be like one of the myriad of facebook changes. It happens, we hate it, we get used to it, we stop caring.
YES. And it's really, really started to get on my nerves. It is so invasive.

Yes! I just don't scroll further than it! It's bad becasue its the one ad ad blocker doesn't remove. GRRRRR
I am a little thrown off but I understand the biz being that I'm a marketer for a living ..whatever it takes to keep the site free I say!
Not a fan either. one PP had the right word for it, it's invasive.. If anything, it keeps me away from what they're advertizing... When I'm in a store, even though I see great things, if the salesperson comes back after I've told them I will go see them if I need assistance, I just plain leave the store and they lost a sale.. Same thing happens for me with adds like these.
It's not cool to put it in the middle of the threads... If they wanted to separate it from the right side adds, they could have put it on the left; top or bottom of the page. But in the middle is just a little too much.
Its annoying big time and they are doing it on Project Wedding too. It makes me think that the page has ended. I hope they get rid of it.

Did anyone see the new thread titled "hey mr. bee" about screen-caps? It only lasted about 5 minutes before it was deleted. Wow. That was fast.
@MissHoneyBun: I thought it was funny. I was the last poster and mine was something along the lines of "Any bets on how long before this thread disappears?" Like, literally, 15 seconds later.. POOF.

Well, Mr. Bee, what do you think of nixing it? It obviously isn't going over well in the Hive!
I have to use my phone till my computer is fixed tomorrow and I use it at work, and now it takes forever to load WB. I figure, though, it might be help keeping WB a free site. I am sure they will come on and explain it at some point in time.
As someone who is usually totally annoyed with ads on webpages, I think this is one of the more well-integrated and non annoying ads I've seen in a while. It's not flashing at me from the side or popping up random boxes, it doesn't blend in SO well that I accidentally click on it, but it isn't glaringly obvious, either.
So, no, I don't think it's all that annoying - as far as internet ads go, anyway. Not to mention it keeps WB FREE for us users. It's a minor thing, probably not worth bitching about.
I find it annoying and don't like having to scroll past it as I go through the threads. Put it at the top, the bottom or on one of the side but having it right in the middle of the page bugs me.
And I'll be honest, I'd rather pay a small one time fee to use WB than have ads shoved in my face each time I visit.
I don't see the ad you're talking about.....? it's in the thread? I only see ads on the side bar.
to be honest, I actually would not pay a fee for this site (there are so many free wedding sources out there). if they made this a paid site, I'd really miss the bee, but I'd move on.

@janie-janie: in the main boards page, scroll down. When you see an add, keep scrolling. You will see MORE posts!
I hate it too...there are way too many ads on here! Honestly, putting an ad smack dab in the middle of the page is just...tasteless.
I do find it (minorly) annoying. Like another PP said, I had thought at first that the upper half were the only posts! Then I realized that it was inbetween the posts. I randomly forgot to go past it though.
I don't block ads and I don't find them annoying but I do find this annoying- if they want to sticky it at the top or something that's fine but in the middle of the threads? I don't like it.
