One of my best friends was married in Italy 2 years ago & it was absolutely INCREDIBLE.  We also had a destination wedding, but in Jamaica.

Let me know if you want any resources & I’d be happy to  pass along some info to you!

Hi Belle Italia

I got married in Orvieto, Italy a wonderful town in Umbria, between Rome and Florence… We had guests from all around the world and they all love it! the prices are reasonable and you can get married in the beautiful church or in the local theatre or underground!! or in other suggestive locations… we choose the theatre and it was great! the reception was held in a local restaurant but the city and the country offer a lot of opportunities…

I got help from Luxus Eventi [email protected]: Silvia is just great a full of ideas and energy and she can make a dream true!

If you need any tip, feel welcome!

A close friend of mine got married in Italy last year. She and her husband and immediate family members were there for the ceremony, but anyone who could make it was invited to come along. Instead of a gift registry, they set up a travel registry so that they could sightsee and enjoy the country for a week right after their ceremony as a honeymoon. A month later, they held a traditional reception for all of their family and friends, and had slides of their ceremony in Italy playing. The reception was Italian themed, and very nice!

I’m looking for a bus or van rental with driver for my wedding in tuscany.  can anyone here recommend a company?  it’s for the wedding day – i’m hoping to stay at a villa or farmhouse by  have my dinner reception in town.  we definitely won’t have enough cars and i don’t want anyone driving.  thanks!

I’m getting married about 1 1/2 hours outside of Rome in a beautiful town called Rieti at a place called Colle Aluffi on Oct. 19, 2012 – I cannot WAIT!  But I must say, planning a wedding in Italy is challenging!  I speak Italian, understand it fluently, but do not speak it well enough to really make sure what I am saying is absolutely clear 🙂  Right now, I’m finding the flowers the hardest thing to coordinate :).  In a few months, we’re going to handle the atta notorio and the nulla osta, but we need to work with the American consulate and the comune in Rieti.  My fiance is Jewish, and I am Catholic, and we have chosen to have a non-denomenational ceremony where the Mayor marries us, so that is also challening. We just got back from a long trip in Rome/Rieti for some wedding planning and now I REALLY can’t wait!

This is the view from our reception site!

Our family and friends are SO excited! It is a unique wedding, in an amazing setting, and no one has been to anything like it!  We’re actually expecting 100 guests – WAY more than we expected for a destination wedding!

Hi all,

I am also having a wedding in Italy. The estate manager and his partner will help with everything catering, photographer, flowers, musicians etc.

They are licences to have civil ceremonies; they will organize all documents and translate on the day.

They have been organizing weddings for over 10 years so they are very experienced and will work to your budget and ideas to make your day go smoothly.

We are at the very early stages yet, have booked our week and just getting all our ideas for table deco, invites, flowers, favours etc. together. Then we will fly over to see the place meet the people, taste menus, choose the wines and finalize everything.

http://www.catureglioweddings.it/ if you have a look at the EVENT tab you will see weddings that have been held there in the past.
