That's awesome! Enjoy! We're planning on doing a delayed honeymoon in Jamaica. Wedding's in May, going in January. Let us know how it goes, I wanna know all the best things to do! ^_^
March should be good weather in Jamaica. The rainy season doesn't really begin until end May. I love Jamaica! Got married there! Have an amazing time.
Where'd you go LM? thanks for the weather tip too for other Jamaica brides and newlyweds!
Liz, I will let you know how we liked where we went when we get back. We're going to Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton (adult side in two story villas).
I went to Jamaica a few years ago. It was amazing. We went in July so I can't comment on the weather in March though. We stayed in Ochos Rios and in Negril. We flew in to Montego Bay, but we didn't stop there at all. Montego Bay has a pretty high crime rate so we avoided the city (I'm sure that outside of the city is fine though!).
We stayed with Beaches Resorts and everything was great. Everyone was so nice and laid back. Very friendly and always ready to help us. I truly believe this is a cultural thing not a resort thing. People in Jamaica are just great!
We did a few excursions but mostly stayed on the resorts. We saw Dunn's River Falls and we went to Rick's Cafe (where I jumped off of the 35 foot cliff into the ocean and did a butt flop... outch!). Since we stayed at two resorts (on either side of the island) We had a few bus rides during our vacation. The bus rides included stops at local roadside shops, eateries and even a "mall". There were scary places and really cool places. I ate some interesting things and overall just enjoyed the hell out of it.
It was the best vacation I've ever been on and I think you'll have an absolutely amazing time!!!
Weather in march should be great, that's when I went. I brought a cotton sweater for the evenings but I don't think I ever wore it. I remember being in my bathing suit only most everyday. I went in high school, so I don't have great night life suggestions, but I think you'll have a blast! If you're not scared of heights try parasailing...I loved it!!

We're off to Montego Bay, actually inbetween MoBay and Negril for four amazing days in less than 2 weeks! Woo hoo!
If you have been in March, was the weather great?
