I got our aisle decor from Michael’s and brainstormed our altar arrangements with a florist:

@MsPiggy:  Do you have pics of your venue so we can contribute ideas? Color palette? theme?

I chose my venue because I thought it was beautiful without any extra help. So the only decorations I got were chair sashes and aisle petals.

My mum and I made bows for some of the pew fronts (they face into the aisle instead of towards the altar), very simple (and cheap!) but effective.

the landscaping and pretty lake in the background were enough! we kept the emphasis on the beauty of nature and just had a simple garden arch with a white floral spray.

Here’s mine for my backyard wedding:

The cross and altar are from my home church, origami cranes on fishing line behind that, and one of the table centerpieces on the altar.

This last picture was before they rolled out the aisle runner. We actually had a white one, and it looked nicer than this.

Here’s ours.  We were obviously going for a colorful festive vibe 🙂  My husband made the arch/altar thing, I made the paper dot garlands and tissue poms, and the flowers are from my dad’s garden (there are hanging vases but you can’t seem em very well here).
