@gilmoresgirl:  Hi!  I have the barn booked for May.  If you really want this venue, you really need to have it booked.  They start taking reservations on January 3rd at 5:00 AM for the 2012 year.  I called at 9:00 AM and there were only like four weekends left for 2012.  So unfortunately I doubt you can get this venue.  You could certainly check though.  I had to change my date just to rent it.  However, you can rent the barn all day, from 8am to 10pm.  So if you have your reception in the afternoon/evening you can come in at 8am to start decorating.  If you want to go in the day before to decorate you have to rent the barn for that number of hours for the day before.  For instance, I am renting it for 2 hours on Sunday for clean up afterwards.  I'd be happy to answer anything else I can for you, but I'd really suggest you just call them and see if renting it for October is even possibility for you.  Here's the website for the park district, which has some useful info for you: http://www.edenprairie.org/vCurrent/live/FacilityRentalBrochure/index.asp?page=facilities&facilityID=3054

Do you think I could trouble you for the floor plans of the upstairs and downstairs of the barn?  I keep trying to download off their websites, but this weekend the site seems to be down.  I need the measurements because I'm trying to sit down and do a table arrangement like you did.  BTW, thank you for sending that over.  It's helpful to see things from a different perspective. 

Do you know if that ramp that leads up to the stage in my pictures is removable?  You placed your food where that ramp is located.  If it was removable, it would certainly make my life easier.  Was it there when you toured the barn?
