I don't work from home right now but I think a support thread could be beneficial. I had a temp job where I worked from home and I found it really tough to actually work; even tougher than when I had internet classes in college. It's so easy to get distracted and blow it all off til the last minute. Maybe a bunch of ladies going "I accomplished x, y, and z today" will help us get our butts in gear.
Or maybe it will help us procrastinate more by spending all our time on the support thread lol.
I thought of that too! Having a support thread might just distract me more! Ha! Well so far today I've had 3 new projects dumped in my lap with emergency-ish deadlines, so hopefully that will be motivation enough!
I'm a FT work-from-home-er. It's really different than being in an office and SO hard to stay motivated...but I actually have a harder time bothering to get out of my PJs/yoga pants, put on makeup (yeah right), or stop online shopping!!M

What kinds of things do you do when you are working from home? =] I didn't know there were so many people working from home. I'm so naiive.

Wow, I just saw this post and I would totally join a support group. I get distracted by home design blogs too! I feel like it's way easier to stay motivated when I have super-pressing deadlines, which has been everyday for the past 6 months. I like it that way though.
The hardest part for me about working from home is that if I have a bad day, I blame it all on myself. I don't have stupid co-workers to blame, just myself. Do any of you guys feel that way?
I know this is an old thread, but I would love to get it going again.

Sorry, there are no users yet.
There may not be enough interest for this, but I was wondering if anybody wanted to do a work-from-home support thread (kinda like the fitness support threads that pop up from time to time). I work from home full-time and I have the HARDEST time staying motivated. I don't get paid unless I'm actually working, but it's still so tempting to blow off work and run errands or look at home design blogs instead. Anyone else in this situation??
