hi guys, so i’ve finally ordered my dress! although it comes in a size about 2 -3 inches too small for me 🙁 i’ve lost aout 10lbs so far but probably need to lose another 20lbs to look good in the dress by jan and i’m soooo stressing! just wondering how much people have typically lost, or if anyone didnt lose the weight and what they did.

I had a friend who went to the gym 3-5 times a week, watched what she ate, and lost over 25 lbs before her wedding. You can ABSOLUTELY do it girl… Keep it up! Congrats on having lost 10 already! 🙂

hi there…. i started weightwatchers in may (4 months ago) and have lost 25 lbs so far and ive toned up alot!!! ( i hope to lose about 40 more before my wedding which would be about 5 lbs a month) 🙂 i do weightwatchers and p90x right now and it seems to be working 🙂 you can soooo do it! 10 lbs is such an accomplishment! just keep up the hard work!

I’ve lost 15 pounds and I’m 45 days from the wedding so I’m hoping to lose at least 5 more! My dress hasn’t come in yet and right now I am in the exact measurement range for the size and I’m still nervous it will be too small so I’m kicking it up another notch or two!
@stephanie63087: Another P90X’er here It totally works! I’ve lost 3 inches from my bust, 2 inches from my waist and 2 inches from my hips in 9 weeks and I’m still at it! Congrats on your loss you have done well.
@arousa1979nyc: Keep up what you’re doing! Thats really good so far. Did they tell you to order it smaller? I’m sure they can alter it if it doesn’t fit but it may be costly. But forget that, because you can totally lose it by then! Good luck!

I lost 10 pounds so far and I have 9 months to go until my wedding. I hope to lose 5 or 10 more. I dont want to be any skinnier than that. But I did lose those 10 pounds in 3 months over summer break.

I lost about 20 pounds since June (give or take 3 pounds as weight fluctuates daily). I ordered my dress two weeks ago, but I’m still hoping to lose 20 more pounds or so before the big day (I have 8 months to go).
I’ve haven’t stopped eating certain foods (I crave a hamburger every now and then) but rather been watching my portion size and cut out random snacking. Or if I do snack, I make sure its on veggies. By allowing myself to still eat the things I want, it doesn’t seem like a diet. I’ll usually just cut big portions in half and then eat just the half.
When I first started losing the weight, it came off dramatically – about 15 in the first month. Then the next five were a little difficult. But part of the reason for the quick weight loss at the beginning is probably because I worked out everyday – I did Jillian Michael’s 30-day shred. Just that half hour of moving around every day really made a difference. Now my workouts are a little more sporadic – 2-3 times a week, so I’m kind of in maintenance mode.

I’ve lost nothing, despite making healthy changes. As long as you are engaging in healthy habits, I think it’s ridiculous to put pressure on yourself to lose weight for the wedding. I looked like this when I was proposed to and this is the body that he’ll be spending the rest of his life with, so I figure I might as well stop stressing and instead be comfortable that this is what I’ll look like at the alter too.

My ideal scenario would be to lose 50 before my wedding. I lost 10 pretty easily by watching what I ate and going to the gym 3x/week. Then I stopped. Got lazy. Haven’t been to the gym. Haven’t been watching what I eat. Luckily I’ve been maintaining (better than gaining). I have 5 months now, and another 40 pounds is not really realistic because I have no intention of getting drastic. If I lost another 20 I’d be happy. If I lost 25 I’d be really happy. If I lost 30 I’d be THRILLED.
I should also add that I ordered my dress too small too. I did it on purpose to kick myself in the ass. I need to lose 2 inches on each of my bust, waist, and hips to make it work. Fingers crossed! 🙂
