We have considered it! We are thinking either Charleston, SC or Washington DC!
Hey Stephanie, we're going to Charleston too! And our dates are close together, maybe We'll pass you on the street and not even know it ;)
We're going to Seattle for a few days and then we rented a house on one of the San Juan Islands.
We are going to Seaside, FL. I really wanted somewhere low-key, where we could relax, avoid crowds, and just be together.
We rented a house on Nantucket. I'm so excited to just relax and spend everyday on the beach!
I really wanted to go to Cancun and had the trip all planned out, but then FH decided he didn't want to fly out of the country. So now we are going to fly into Orlando then drive to St. Petersburg and stay at the beach for a few days then drive back to Orlando and go to Disney World for a few days.
We're going to Cancun but we did discuss staying in the US. We were thinking either Florida or California. In the end Mexico won out.
we are gonna go to Big Bear mountain for a few days, then head to Laguna Beach for a few days. He likes the mountains and I like the ocean, so its a compromise.
We're getting married only a week before I have to go back to grad school, so we're planning a few days in northern Minnesota, and someday, when we can afford it, we're going to Hawaii.
We're not "staying" in the US as we're Canadian, but we are honeymooning there! We're going to NYC. It's not a beach but I think it'll be so much fun!
yup. we live here in indiana and we are driving down to Myrtle Beach, SC. my uncle has a time share he will be letting us use!!! :)
We went to Seattle for four days (almost day on each end to fly to the East Coast).
We're going going to Marco Island, FL. FI's parents have an awesome vacation house down there so were going there. Big house all to our self, beach out back ... it will be paradise! I can't wait! :)
My husband and I are doing a late honeymoon/one year anniversary trip to the Gulf Coast this May.
We are doing a B&B bike tour in Vermont so that we have some pampering and some activity. (FI and I don't sit still well)
Our honeymoon is in the US! We're going on the honeymoon like a month before we have to move to a different state so FI can start grad school towards his PhD. So needless to say, we didn't really want to spend a lot of money on the honeymoon when we would be stuggling for money over the next few years.
We're staying at a bed and breakfast in Cape May, NJ for a week.
We'll probably go on a cruise about a year or year and a half after the wedding/honeymoon.
we're actually staying in state, Stillwater, MN.
But for awhile we were going to road trip to Mendocino, California, I love this one bed and breakfast called the MacCallum House (I think), it's so cute and comfy... but it will have to be something we save for and do in the future. so we're just staying somewhere about an hour and a half from where we live and just enjoy being together..
Thanks Bees for all of the posts. Staying in the US is sounding more and more fun. Renting a beach house is actually sounding pretty nice. Relaxing and doing things at our own pace. That would be perfect. I really want to go to SC but I think we may do that this summer. We can check it out while we're there.
@charmedlife: My cousin had a destination wedding in South Carolna at Folly Beach. They rented a house on the beach that was beautiful and the price was great. If you are still thinking SC then you should check it out.
@emmerzwithcheese- Thanks! I will check it out. I just have to convince the FI that the US is a great place to honeymoon. He thinks its cheesy for some reason. Men!!!! Whatcha gonna do. I would love to stay in the US. Its familiar and mostly safe.
We are honeymooning in Florida and staying at Disney World!
We are renting a fabulous house next to Rocky Mountain Nation Park and rafting/hiking/cooking gourmet food together for a week (oh, and lounging in the mountainview hot tub, YES!!!!). We can't wait. It'll be sooo relaxing after a week and a half of family craziness leading up to the wedding.
We're doing California, 3 days in wine country, 2 days in San Francisco, and 3 days in San Diego. A little bit of everything! But last night I was browsing and saw that we could do 6 days in Honolulu for about the same price as our 11 day California adventure. Slightly tempted...
We are going to Hilton Head, SC. We are planning to visit Savannah, GA as well. The funds just weren't there for us to fly anywhere is this is about a 7 hour drive from home. We are going to split the drive with a night in Atlanta, GA. I'm excited. I actually like road trips. Lots of time to talk and enjoy each others company.
My fiance and I will also have a Rocky Mountain honeymoon. We will be staying in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. We want to stay in Estes Park Colorado but his parents timeshare was all booked up but they werent for Pagosa Springs. We are soooo excited. Nither of us have been out west and we are more mountain people then beach people so Im sure we will have a great time!
We're going to Palm Springs. It's going to be deadly hot but it's all new to me! :)

Is anybody doing the honeymoon in the US? We are probably going to do a cruise but I have also thrown out the option of staying in the US, but I dont have any solid options. Either way, I would love to hear where everybody else is going in the US.
