@Sb91: I had bare nails!  No pics back yet, but yeah.  I never paint my nails and feel really goofy with nail polish on, like a 5 year old dressing up.  I did have red toenails though 🙂

@Sb91:  I’m strongly considering bare nails! Maybe just buffing them, or maybe I;ll get a light pink. FI’s aunt was INSISTING I do a french manicure and kept saying “theres just nothing more elegant!” ummm I disagree, I think it’s passee (no offense to anyone who’s doing it, just my opinion)

Trying to figure out the best way to let one of my BM’s know that I woudl rather she not do her acrylic 2 inch nails with gems and things on them… but since I’m not paying… prob not appropriate… oh welll! So far I’ve been pretty lax with BM requests, paying for their dressses, hair, makeup, and letting them choose their shoes, jewelery etc, don’t want to go ‘zilla on the nails!

I will buff and shape my nails, but I never use nail polish on my fingernails at all. They are much healthier, prettier and longer when I don’t. Plus, it just wouldn’t feel like “me”

I’m thinking I having bare nails. Only because anytime I paint them they look like super cheap fake nails, since my nails are long. But I’unno yet.

@Sb91:  I’m almost 100% certain that I’ll have bare nails on my wedding day. FH has never even seen me with nail polish on, and I want to stay true to my not-so-girly self that day 🙂

I don’t like false nails for myself. They are too think and unmanagable. I am planning to go to the salon, and getting a light pink color. But on my real nails. I don’t think I would notice if a bride didn’t have her nails polished!

I got a gel manicure but in a light pink/nude color. Mostly they looked like regular fingernails but shiny. And the unexpected benefit is that they were so stong! I’m acutally going to get a gel manicure before the honeymoon, not so much to look good, but because they’re so strong with the gel polish on!

@Sb91:  I had bare nails- sorta, I used a clear mineral strengthener on them but that was it. I LOVED it because it kept my nails long & strong plus my nailpolish chips alot so I didn’t have to worry about that either. I don’t really do fake nails (at least since HS) and don’t know of any reputable nail salons in my area anyway….

Strongly recommend Nailtiques Formula #2 if you need some clear strengthening polish. A little pricey but it works amazingly well- my nails were the longest they have ever been & were super strong!
