@BrideofGroomzilla:  I was in your shoes last year. I had a late April wedding in Northeast Ohio.. where the weather goes from sunny and 70 one day, to sleet and 35* the next. I stalked the weather channel like a whacko the weeks leading up to my wedding.. try not to get too worked up about it, there’s nothing you can do about it. At the end of the day you’ll be married and it’ll have been a great day! I woke up to snow, got my hair down while it was raining and took pictures outside on a beautiful, sunny blue skyed afternoon — it was only 41 though, so it was cold taking pictures outside, but we sucked it up & you’d never know by the looks of the pictures how cold it was! So the weather changed 3 times in the course of our wedding day… it was crazy!

The only thing I was a little bummed about was nothing had bloomed yet, the trees were all totally bare still.. but the grass was greening up, so with the blue skies & green grass it looked nice in the pictures. (we had our ceremony & reception inside)

It should be getting warmer by April, but I’ve known freak cold snaps before & snow so…hmm. I’m really hopeful it will be okay.

@itzjustme:  We are pretty worried, weather can change drastically where we live too. Sometimes in April it’s 70 and sunny, but last year we had tons of snow until the first week of May. I don’t care much about the temperature, because we can deal with that, I’m just hoping we don’t get a massive amount of snow the day of!

@Mrspgi:  My sis is getting married in April and is worried too..

She is hoping it starts warming up in March, so April will be nice.

Its always a gamble though especially beginning of May it always rans a lot 🙁

@itzjustme:  I would like to get married in my backyard, but if it’s cold, raining or not green enough we’ll just do it in the living room. I would prefer outside, but I won’t cry if we don’t get to do it outside.

Other than that I just hope it’s not raining because I’m afraid I’ll ruin my shoes.

I am marrying in the UK in April and am freaking out over the weather. I want a lovely sunny balmy Springs day with no rain and a nice dry ground! There is a beautiful pond/lake in the woods at the bottoms of my venue and I would love to have some pictures there but they don’t allow it if it has been raining due to the mud. I hate it because I have been in such control that it is the only thing I cant control!!

@Dawn1234:  we have had some bad floods but no where near as bad as you guys. It’s just awful. I am hoping too that the weather is like that! I’m sure April is going to be a fantastic month for weather! A lovely balmy spring day. We are pretty much there with planning have had our final detail meetings today with our venue. Our venue has a lovely lake and woods in the grounds and I would love photos there but they don’t allow you to go there if it’s wet as it gets so boggy. We also have a beautiful old church would love photos outside! So I’m praying! I can’t wait it’s so close!

Yep, I am a bit worried about weather… Weather is unpredictable! I’m having a beach wedding in Tulum Mexico and what happens over there is that if the weather it’s not super beautiful, then it’s pouring rain! But luckily I have a plan B, I can have it either indoor or outdoors depending on the weather but we’re aiming for outdoor. Hope everything goes well with all of us on our big day. All the best!

There is a forecast of snow the week of our wedding, thankfully though our wedding is taking place inside. I’m slightly concerned though for my OOT guests.

itzjustme:  Still having kittens over the weather… I don’t think it will be cold, I’m more worried about precipitation (I’m not going to say the R-word). The dinner portion would be fine, as it’s under a covered area anyway, but the ceremony…. There is no backup plan! The good news is that statistically, precipitation this time of year in this area is often very short (like 20 minutes tops),so if it does, hopefully it doesn’t get too muddy and the show can go on. Gah!
