I have had a really rocky couple of weeks, and the whole wedding planning process in general hasn’t been how I always imagined it being (if I’m totally honest I thought it was going to be something similar to “Father of The Bride”– haha!)
The time between getting engaged- or before I was engaged (a waiting bee) has felt like 2 lifetimes but now I can finally say the magical words that I’ve felt would never come. I’m getting married NEXT WEEK! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
My attention span for anything has gone out of the window. I can’t focus at work, I can’t sit still at home and I really do feel like I’m more jumpy and nervous than usual Restful sleep is a long distant memory of something I used to have and I feel as though I’ve still got loads of things I need to do and at the same time I feel like there isn’t anything left to do. In fact there are things I could do but I’ve just decided to can them.
Anyone else feeling like they get distracted easily at the moment? It’s like, Oh yes of course I’ll get that report back to you just give me….. OH LOOK! A BIRD!

Hahaha! The bird comment. This is totally me right now. I have three days of work left this week (today is a holiday) and I’m totally dreading it. Why didn’t I take the whole week off? Oh right, because I’m a teacher at a school that is so broke we can’t afford to hire substitutes. I’m going to be totally worthless. I haven’t slept well in about a week. No amount of concealer will cover the dark circles under my eyes. And I usually don’t even wear concealer!
Good luck with everything and hang in there! Your day is almost here!!!!

Wow jmr your day is closer than mine! I’m like a cat on a hot tin roof this week. Can’t sit stil, can’t focus, don’t care about anything!
If anything, what do you still have left to do?

@Soon2BeeMrsG: I still have a page-long to-do list, but it doesn’t feel like I have that much to do. A lot of things are little, like grabbing one last bottle of wine (we are providing our own), packing for the honeymoon (but we don’t leave until 2 days after the wedding), getting all the crap down to the venue, confirming vendors, and other small errands. And a lot of things can’t be done until the day before, so I guess I’m pretty much caught up. I woke up at 3:45 this morning and I was too excited to go back to sleep. My parents are coming into town today & I haven’t seen them in almost a year! I don’t think I will be getting much sleep in the next 4 days.

I’m in the same boat!! I’ve start telling people just not to talk to me bc I can’t focus on conversations and most of the time my response doesn’t make sense haha I totally stop my thoughts mid sentence..my brain just give up on them haha! I can’t wait to be on my honeymoon just to relax! These last 11 months have flown by and now I’m scrambling to get the last minute things done.
