im getting married in amherst in august too! theres so much to so still! working on the music this week...
this is so exciting! i live in westfield, but i'm getting married in new hampshire...it's nice to finally have a western mass board as the knot has pretty much just the boston and cape boards...where are your ceremonies/receptions??

Hi--I am getting married at Mass MoCA in North Adams on 9/12/09. We have our venue, a caterer, a lighting person, a celebrant/officiant, and lodging. If anyone has band/DJ recommendations, ceremony instrumentalists, and florist recommendations, it would be much appreciated!
I LOVE Mass MoCA! Going to check it out on Friday. I'm disappointed b/c all the 2009 Saturday dates are gone (and sounds like you got one!), but if I like it as much as I remember we might be willing to do a Sunday. Have you worked with the new event planner yet now that the old one is leaving?
We have not yet worked with the new event planner at Mass MoCA. However, we liked the last one (Courtney). She pretty much guided us towards Mezze Catering, and she said that they could really help with the planning. The museum guided us toward the lighting/sound people, but we got all other vendors from Mezze Catering. Nancy is the owner of Mezze--SUPER helpful and can serve as your wedding planner. I'm another Western MA bride! We'll be getting married June 27, 2009 at the Warfield House Inn. I'm originally from North Adams, but currently living in Somerville. We decided to go to Western MA: 1. Because it's gorgeous 2. We could find something unique and 3. Everything's MUCH MUCH less expensive.
Good luck with your Mass MoCA wedding! We thought about it because it's such an awesome space, but it was sadly out of our price range. You should be able to get some great pics.

Does anyone have a referral for a western Massachusetts photographer? We just need photos done the day of--we are having our engagement photos done in Boston.
