I love love love lace cap sleeves. I'd love to add them to my dress only it'd look so.... well, wrong! Modern hip satin meets classy vintage lace type weird. Show us pics if you get it done!
I am adding cap sleeves to me dress, too! I can't wait to see how they look!
I also love capsleeves and kind of regret that I didn't have some made for my dress. When you order the dress, ask if they can send you some extra fabric so you can have the cap sleeves made of the same material (unless you plan on having the dress hemmed or something and think you'll have plenty left over).
My dress is perfect length but we have asked about extra lace or if they would make them! Still have not head back! I tried on some with the dress that did not go but looked good and i love the look! I don't have my first fitting until April!
I'm wearing Casablanca 1900 as well, and I ordered it with detachable cap sleeves! Casablanca will make matching ones for you for $70. You don't even have to order them at the sime time as the dress, since they're detachable. They haven't come in yet, but I can't wait!
@bluebpnnet I did not know that! My mom ordered a yard of the fabric that is around the bust for $120.00! We may need to recheck into all this! Thanks!
I was going to but decided to wear a bolero jacket instead.
I tried that dress on and if I had got it I would have had capped sleeves added. I had them sit capped sleeves on my shoulders to get an idea of what it would look like....the dress didn't fit properly so it doesn't ook great but here are pics.
@ leafy I love it! I can not wait until mine comes in! What dress did you decide on!
I haven't decided yet, well, I did get a dress but then I decided it wasn't the one, pics attached. So now I'm considering a mermaid dress.......I'm terribly indecisive when it comes to wedding dresses.
I added cap sleves to my dress. & my bridal dress shop put clips on them so that I could take them off. But I loved them & kept them on the whole night.
@leafy
I like your dress! I actually picked the Casablaca 1900 from the begining and still like it! I thought it looked great on you!
I loved how the 1900 had a vintage, romantic feel to it and loved how it looked on others but on myself I thought it wasn't all that flattering, I felt that it made me look bigger than I really am.
I felt that it fit me well, I am small chested and it fit well up top, where a lot of strapless dresses have that gap! Anyway I got it becuase of the vintage feel! I love mermaid dresses but i have very athletic legs and a butt so i never even tried one on! Good luck on finding another dress! :)
