I’ve just started looking around for venues in the Long Island/NYC area. I’m just wondering if anyone had recently attended or had a wedding at the Royalton at Roslyn Country Club, Swan Club, or Woodlands on the Greens (the Melville location). Please let me know what you thought of the food/venue, the season, and the price per plate that you were quoted. If you could recommend any other alternative sites in the area, that would also be great! I’m looking for a venue that hosts 175-200, in Nassau County, for a Sunday evening wedding reception. Thank you 🙂

- Wedding: October 2014 - Easton's Beach Rotunda Ballroom
belle719: I unfortunately do not have any experience with those venues but did have my HS prom at the Milleridge Inn Cottage in Jericho. I also attended a wedding there. Absolutely stunning.

I haven’t been at any of these venues personally. Have you tried the LI weddings site?

I got married at Jericho Terrace and the rate was $65 per person but it depends on what time of the year you are looking to get married. the rate included an open bar, and they give you the cake. On top of that there is a 20% service fee and taxes. They are in Mineola. I have no complaints. The cocktail hour includes a ton of food, almost to the point of being excessive. The sit down meal offers 5 choices before add ons. My wedding was last June so keep in mind prices may have changed. If you need contact info PM me.

belle719: Long Island bee here! I have not personally been to the Royalton, however, I know a bunch of girls who’ve gotten married there. My understanding is that it’s pricey (about $200 per plate ++), but top of the line everything. I know that they only work with certain vendors-you can’t just pick a florist or band or DJ, you have to pick from the list they give you. The Swan Club is another one I haven’t been to, but it’s known to be a more than one wedding at a time place. It’s very pretty in pics (I considered it) but not nearly as grand as the Royalton. The Woodlands have an excellent reputation all around. My own wedding is at the Milleridge Cottage in Jericho. 🙂

Hi! Another LI bride here! I’m just starting to look at venues too but I’m out in suffolk county. In April I went to wedding at the Swan club. I loved the reception room and the food was really good, especially all the little desserts! The real con was how hectic the venue was with all the other events going on. In the lobby and restrooms your mixing in with other guests. Also the valet line got crazy because of all the events getting out around the same time. Personally, I dont mind crowds that much (as a guest) but I know a lot of brides hate that. Overall, I loved the wedding except waiting in the valet line. Sorry I don’t know prices but I think I read another bride on another site say around 95 pp.
