We were cutting through a T parking lot yesterday and I said to my FI, "holy crap....T parking is $4 a day now?!?! Thank God I don't work in the city anymore". I work on the Stoughton/Canton line but can't offer any help but I wanted you to know I feel so bad for you :-(
How far away is this T station from Walpole? I work there, and there's a HUGE free parking lot here. My coworker takes his bike on the T and gets off at the station and rides to Walpole.
Shaema - thanks so much for the kind words! It does suck, but I love what I do so much that I'm going to tough this kind of thing out as long as I can!!!
Grey - Walpole is pretty far from Stoughton, unfortunately, and it's even further away by car than the Stoughton station is for me now. Thanks for the thought though, I *really* appreciate it!

This isn't 100% wedding related, but are there any brides-to-be close to the Stoughton commuter rail station who would be willing to help a money-strapped fellow bride-to-be save on parking so I can continue to afford to work at a tiny non-profit in the city *and* save towards my wedding?
Ever since they raised the cost to park at the commuter rail station, I've been stressed over continuing to save money towards our wedding, and it's been tough for the last year to keep justifying my work commute (I already drive about 30 minutes to Stoughton from the town I live in to save money on my monthly commuter rail pass). As I said, I work at a tiny non-profit in the city and we're not getting ANY help financially for our wedding. I've been fortunate for the last year to occasionally park in a free area, but the parking wars have gotten increasingly more stressful and I just today learned the owner of the lot where I've been parking has sold his building and the new owner is planning major changes. I love what I do and I love that I'm changing the world, but all I seem to see are dollar signs right now, and we're about a year away from the wedding! I just know that's going to get worse...
Like I said, not 100% wedding related, but nothing ventured, nothing gained, right? Anyhow, if anyone is even willing to discuss being a possible parking angel, please feel free to Private Message me, and thanks in advance for even letting this post exist!
