I did years ago and it was AH-MAZING! We had ports in Anchorage and Ketchican (sp?) The locals were super friendly, the salmon was delicious, and we also got to see the milky waters and glaciers breaking off. We used the Celebrity cruise line and I highly recommend them. It is more of an adult atmosphere, and the food is DELISH!
We also went in the summer and the weather was cool, kind of like typical fall weather. We wore jeans and hoodies most of the time.
Alaska is amazing and I have no doubt that you will love it!
We have a family trip planned to go this May. So I'm curious what other bees have to say!
DH and I did an Alaskan cruise for our honeymoon! We loved it!
We did a week-long cruise on Carnival that cruised in and out of Seattle. We sailed through the Tracy Arm Fjord and ported in Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan as well as a short stop in Victoria, British Colombia.
DH and I both really enjoy cruises and knew we didn't want the typical "lay on the beach all day" type honeymoon. We spent numerous days relaxing on the boat, including an afternoon at the spa for a couple's massage. We ate way too much yummy food, hung out playing trivia and games, and "relaxed" in our room.
But then we got to do more adventureous excursions. We took a catamaran to the glaciers, we went salmon fishing, and we went sea kayaking. We were also supposed to take a helicopter to go dogsledding but it got cancelled due to bad weather and the helicopters being unable to fly.
I highly recommend it!

No, but FI wants to go on one so bad. It's like his dream. I had a professor that went and she loved it. I don't want to go for my honeymoon, but promised him to go some time in the future.

We have never been on a cruise. Heck, we have never been on a "real vacation" I am uber excited!!!
I love that you are wearing flip flops with a jacket. That is so me! hahaha

We weren't going to do a real honeymoon just a little weekend get away but My FI won some $ on a scratchers lottery ticket and mentioned going on a cruise to Alaska this summer for our honeymoon. I'm so excited!
Have any of you done this? If so which cruise line and tell me about your experiance. Thanks.
