I have been there once.  I did not stay there, only spent a few hours there as part of a cruise.  It is a beautiful resort with very nice pools and shops, and a casino area.  However, I do remember it being quite pricey.  Same with the shops outside the resort, I think I paid close to 10 dollars for a Jamba Juice! But it was so hot and I was so thirsty, so I caved, lol.

Never been, heard it was nice but EXPENSIVE!  Lots of hidden fees upon hidden fees.

Yes, we visited The Atlantis during a cruise. We didn’t stay overnight but we purchased day passes. The facility and beach there is amazing. I would like to go back one day and stay a few nights.

We recently booked our 1 year anniversary trip to go there, so I’ll be there in 4 more months! ๐Ÿ™‚

We ended up splitting our week in the Bahamas between Atlantis and Sandals. We wanted time to relax without kids running around and not worry about how large of a tab we were running up on the food and drinks since Sandals are all inclusive and as PP have said Atlantis is EXPENSIVE.

Another place to check out if you don’t want to spend as much is the Dominican Republic. We went there on a family vacation and it was a great deal and so nice! I’ve always wanted to go to Atlantis, but I’ve heard so much about how much it costs!

@AshleyNicole9138:  I would imagine during the school year there would be less kids.  Our anniversary is near the holidays so we are going over the Xmas to New Years holiday, which is always a big family travel time so we are anticipating long lines and tons of screaming kids.

Oh no! I’ll let you know just how bad the lines are over the holidays. Those water slides better be worth it. HAHA

Go for it!  It’s GORGEOUS!  I was there about 4 years ago though, so who knows if things changed.  However I’d go back in a heartbeat.

I have been twice now, and we are planning our wedding at the Atlantis in February. We LOVE it. It can get expensive, but they run great last minute deals on rooms. If you want to save some money, stay in one of the less expensive towers. (Beach Tower) You still have access to the entire resort (minus the pool at the Cove, but you can purchase a honeymoon pass to inclue that) and all the greatness that comes with it. No need to leave the resort, in fact I would not advise going to the town at night. It gets pretty shady, and the peddlers are a little pushy. Senor Frogs is fun though if you go during the day; however, it gets crowded because all of the cruise ships dock near by.The area for the kids is great too! SO much for them to do. ๐Ÿ™‚ Enjoy.

I have been there, kinda…We stayed in the hotel across the street, but you still get full access to the Atlantis resort and it’s MUCH cheaper. The rooms are pretty basic, but if I ever went back I wouldnt heistate to stay at the cheaper place again. Paradise island itself is pretty nice, we wandered around the golf course and found and amazing private beach that we probably werent supposed to be on, but we were the only ones out there! The other side of town (there is a big bridge connecting the two) can get sketchy pretty fast. But just stay near the tourist areas and you’ll be good ๐Ÿ™‚
