I have been there once, and DF and I are going there for our honemoon in mid-July, also! It is beautiful and less crowded than many of the other islands which is why we chose it. The night life isn't as big but if your looking for gorgeous views and beautiful beaches it will be perfect!
My family spent Christmas on Anini Beach 2 years ago. It was beautiful but to go diving or anything else we had to drive an hour to the southern part of the island.
If you do go, do a helicopter tour. It was amazing!

We're debating where to go in Hawaii and I want to Kauai since I heard it's a great honeymoon destination for Hawaii. Anyone been there? Does it really rain that much? And are the beaches worth it? If anyone has been, could you please give me more info and opinions please? BTW, We're planning on going in mid-July if that helps.
