omg how freaky. Just two hours ago I was telling my FH that we should take a vacation to the Maldives. I know nothing about it so I'm curious to see people's responses.
I was just thinking about it too! My first choice (long-wish, like a dream) would be Bora Bora, but Maldives sounds like a good 2nd choice...in winter...
We have a couple that got married July 3rd and went to The Conrad in the Maldives.
It's a very, very long flight. With airfare, hotel, transfers, and insurance it was just under $15,000. They stayed in an upgraded bungalow.

We were thinking about The Maldives as well. GREAT site to research and extremely helpful people is Fordors.com. I use this site for all of my international travel....

Has anyone honeymooned or gone to the Maldives? If so, can you provide some insight on hotels, things to do, places to eat, etc. and if possible, approximate cost?
