In this economy, I wouldn't recommend it. Most of these positions are paid a very low base salary and then you get a percentage of the person you place at a job's salary or a flat rate. Because of the economy, there aren't as many jobs to place candidates in. A few of my friends from college who had been doing this (and being successful doing it) left because the economy put such a damper on their earning prospects. It's a great job if you are good at it and good at networking when there are a lot of jobs available, but when the economy is bad, companies are on hiring freezes and people are being laid off, you may be setting yourself up for failure.

Hello there bees!!! I have just gotten an interview for a Recruiting position for a Legal Placement company. I have a law degree, so I know that end of it, but i'm looking for any/all advice on the Recruiting end of it. I am really excited about the position as it would allow me to use my degree - but in a non-traditional way. In my work now I recruit, train, and generally provide staffing needs for a small business. But I'm wondering if there are some industry tips that could help me improve my interview.
Thanks!!!!!
