I am renting mine for $1.45 per place setting from my caterer. If I wanted to rent the place settings only and not use them for catering it would be $3.00 per setting. I think that is a pretty good deal. They will look like this- kinda simple, but it works.

I know a few people who have done this and they said it might not have actually saved them money in the end because of the logistical problems they had: washing the dishes before hand, keeping them clean in storage, getting them to the caterer, and then cleaning them up afterwards to sell.  If your wedding was small enough it might work, but I get nervous anytime there is a lot of work on my part.  It seems like the money you would save on buying over renting would be lost in extra work/stress.

Buying your own dishes seems really expensive. Unless you dont have that big of a wedding guest list. I would consider the Dollar Tree or renting.

@tonya those are so pretty & great price!!

I think you should try online, maybe try a bulk site for restaurants like lions deal or is it possible for you to rent?

Good luck!
