Just started the couch to 5k program today. Is anyone else doinG this? I have run 5ks in the past year but haven’t been running very much lately and instead of just throwing myself back into it I thought I would take this route! I have some questions though!
When on a treadmill….
During the walking parts how fast do you walk and during the jogging what speed are you at?
Thanks for thE help!

I’m starting the couch to 5k on Friday… trying to surprise Darling Husband when he gets back from a month’s worth of training with a rocking bod (and the ability to actually go on a jog with him, hah!). I have NEVER been a runner, so I’m nervous about this. I lost about 120 pounds 5 years ago, and I’ve got the battle scars to prove it (loose skin, stretch marks, etc)… this has been painful while running in the past, so I hope I can push through it this time.
Good luck to you! I’d also like to know more aobut speeds, etc!

I did C25K about 2 years ago…now I’m on my way to running a marathon in May!
When I’m on a treadmill, I usually walk at 4mph and run between 5.8 and 6.5. I start out jogging slowly, then do a few minutes each at 6.0 and 6.2 before peaking at 6.5. Then I do it in reverse. You’ll know when you’ve found your sweet spot in terms of pace–it will feel easier. It will also feel easier the more you do it…good luck!
