er, what are pew cards?

They are cards you include in the invitation to select guests - family, close friends, to let them know they are to sit in the first few pews of the church - however many are marked off as "reserved" by flowers or riboons. The guest is supposed to bring the card to the ceremony and show it to the usher to be seated in the right spot.

Thanks for the explanation Surgie! Are you using them? I am not allowed to mark the pews in any way, so for me its either card and ushers or just ushers. Is there any reason NOT to? Anyone?
